The title is a direct quote from my 15 year old daughter. Gavin was an amazing captain. First is methodical approach to fishing is really cool. He explained how to get right bait, the right tide, and the spot. He has a very “be the fish” approach. One of my 15 year old twins is very into both fishing and engineering. Gavin is a great guide and runs a great charter. We caught a range of species and I picked up a few tricks to take with me. Whilemluck wasn’t on our side in the Barra department, I’d still recommend Gavin to anyone after a great value charter. Thanks again.

hey nick thanks for the kind review it was a pleasure to have you on board i had a great time, too . yep barras can be a bit tough when the water temps are still a bit cold ....we still managed a bit of rod bending action to keep us smiling maybe next time for the barras enjoy the rest of your stay here in cairns cheers gavin cairns sportfishing

Not a lot of fish around on the day but learnt a lot about different species of fish was great for the kids. Really positive guy that loves to share his knowledge and lives and breathes his job/hobby. Went the extra mile to make sure we had a good day out. Thanks heaps

Big thank you to Gavin from Cairns Port Douglas Sportfishing. A wealth of experience that clearly paid off. We booked a 4 hour estuary trip which put us into 7 species in total. Highlight was the Barramundi secrete spot. Hooked onto 6 Barra Landed 2 - 74cm & 75cm Released 1 Caught and lost a trophy Barra meter plus leaving out of the water. Great guide and highly recommend.
