We absolutely loved our day out on the water. Jeff was so patient and kind throughout the entire day. He made sure we were taken care of the entire time! Whether it was keeping bait on the hooks, keeping lines from getting tangled or getting us to the right spot on the water, he made sure we were comfortable and understood all the aspects of trout fishing, and more importantly the environment and flow of the river. My wife and I had an absolutely fantastic time fishing with J & J Guide Service in Mountain View, AR! Captain Jeff was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and patient, making the entire experience fun and stress-free. We booked a half-day trip, and within no time, we were reeling in trout after trout. The boat was clean, comfortable, and perfectly set up for fishing, and all the gear provided was top-notch.

Captain Jeff knew exactly where to take us, and thanks to his expertise, we caught plenty of beautiful Rainbow and Brown Trout. My wife and I both agreed it was one of the best fishing trips we’ve ever had. My wife and I had an amazing day on the White River with Jeff as our fishing guide. The water was high and conditions weren’t ideal, but thanks to Jeff’s knowledge and persistence, I caught plenty of fish and had a fantastic time.

My wife came along more for the experience than the fishing, and she was a bit anxious at first. Jeff was incredibly genuine, thoughtful, and attentive—he made sure she was comfortable, relaxed, and having fun the entire time. He struck the perfect balance between making sure I had a great fishing experience and ensuring she enjoyed the ride.

This was an excellent trip. Jeff is very knowledgeable. He worked hard to make sure that we caught lots of trout, way over the limit. We highly recommend Jeff. He’s an excellent guide. He’s friendly and skilled. He was equally great with the beginner and the experienced. We fished out of Calico Rock Trout Dock and the facility there was well supplied and the staff was friendly and super helpful.
