    Will was very knowledgeable about the area and we had 2 great days of fishing. Highly recommend this operation as a place to go to catch good quality fish. Will be booking again with Will.

    as a first time charter I was not sure what to expect captain William was amazing he shared alot of local knowledge and pointers the exprience was great and we caught lots of fish nice keepers and Oversized thatwe let go 10/10 recommend this charter will be booking again !!!

    It was our first time fishing for salmon and we weren't sure what to expect. William was awesome and knew exactly where to go and we caught a lot of fish. Our arms are still tired! we highly recommend him.

Well folks july is right around the corner, we’re starting to see good numbers of chinook inside the inlet. Whittlestone, beale, and kirby point are constant day in and day out. First thing in the morning is always hot, after that fish the tides, high slack usually produces a few bites. Halibut fishing is getting hot, we’re constantly limiting out within a few hours off shore. If the bite is slow, run your salmon gear right on the bottom, you can run on line up high in the water column and catch a few coho if things get boring. hoochies are the hot hand right now, brown and white work best, run heavy leaders (50-60lbs) halibut are strong and I’ve been seeing fish over 50lbs on a regular basis. Tight lines and God bless!

We folks the big fish have arrived, right in time for the opener this week! Nanaimo chinnook fishery has really made a comeback in last few year, it is quickly becoming one of the best fisheries on the island in terms of numbers. Most of the fish I’ve been catching will fit perfectly into slot limit! Nanaimo is a deep water fishery, I catch most of my fish below 200ft. These fish are aggressive and will bite most lures you put down, I personally recommend herring aid skinnyG’s or green or white hoochies, I tend to run longer leaders on my hoochies when fishing this deep, 48-54” behind purple or green flashers Best of luck everyone, God bless and tight lines!

The ho’s have arrived

Well folks the coho have officially arrived in numbers! With coho set to open on june first, they showed up at the perfect time to start filling your freezer. I’m seeing more hatchery fish this year than previous years which is super exciting to see, and most fish we get to the boat are between 3-6lbs. They seem to be everywhere in the water column and biting anything you put in front of them. I personally recommend anything green or blue and set your gear between 80-150ft and enjoy the show. Nanaimo Early April 2025

Well folks, it’s officially the start of the 2025 season, and oh boy are we starting this year off strong. Nanaimo is seeing an excellent early run of fish to kick things off, coho and springs are in abundance these last few weeks. Tons of fish all throughout the water column, best results for coho is 80-120ft I recommend white and green hoochies or silver/green spoons. For springs I fish a little deeper, set your gear in the 160-200ft range for best results, it doesn’t matter what you put down as long as its green. Theres a lot of smaller fish kicking around but you will find the odd lunker in there with them, I’ve been seeing fish in the 8-12lbs range every day this week. Good luck and tight lines

Nanaimo March 2025

Tis the season for winter springs, aggressive hard fighting fish with super bright red meat, if you have a few open slots on your license now is the time to fill them. The 5 fingers is a great place to start, head out until you find 200-250ft of water and drop your lines, most fish will be on the bottom or underneath the bait balls, fish anywhere from 180’ to 250’ and whatever you put down make sure it’s green. I personally recommend gibbs skinny G’s in herring aid or Irish cream, green hoochies work really well too. Good luck.
