As a young boy, my father introduced me to Great Lakes fishing we primarily fished for Salmon on Lake Michigan. In the spring we always took a few trips to Lake Erie to drift fish for Walleye.

    Amazing

Half Day Trip – Weekend (AM)3 adults

What an amazing experience!!! My 2 young boys and their grandparents had a great time. The captain was absolutely wonderful!!!! The boys said it was better than cedar point !!!!!

    Reported catch:
    Walleye
    Response from Captain

I really enjoyed having the boys on board. They did great and listened to instructions well. I let them use one of their own lures and ended up bringing a nice fish in on it.

    Awesome trip

Half Day Trip – Weekend (AM)3 adults

Booked this trip for me and my two sons. It was our first trip to fish on lake Erie. We had a very good time. John had his work cut out for him on the day we went because the fish were just not bighting. He did fantastic job putting us on some fish. We caught enough to have dinner for four with some left overs. Thanks John. We will be back.

    Response from Captain

I enjoyed having you aboard. It was a slow day for sure but I’m glad I ran over a little to get you a few more fish. I would love to have you back.

It was a beautiful evening on the water we ended with 14 but the trip was cut a little short by thunderstorms that popped up near the end of the trip

Tough couple days on the lake for keeper

Jun 1, 2024 • Curtice
Headed out from Port Clinton friday evening and ran about 10 miles just west of south bass island. I was running harnesses and I had a hard time getting all lines out as i was setting my 3rd line 1 and 2 went off both were white bass. This trend was constant but no walleye and finally got all lines in the water. Trolled around for a couple hours and only got 3 or 4 throw back walleye and a bunch of white bass and sheeps head. I made a move to between south bass and green island. Set lines and got our first keeper right off the bat. Then came more white bass, sheep head and throw back walleye. Turned our troll to the south and started catching a more decent size walleye. As the sun was starting to set everything stopped so we called it a day and ended with 7 walleye. This morning headed back out to where i had better reports of bigger walleye north of niagara reef. I ran harnesses and cranks. It was a little slow but pulled a couple nice walleye relatively early but we were plagued with under size walleye, white bass, a couple sheeps head, 3 nice cats and 3 decent perch. We ended with the 2 walleye and 3 perch. It was a busy couple days. If we were targeting white bass it would have been a great day but that was not the case
