Captain Trey was well prepared with bait and on-time ready to go from the dock. The ocean was calm in the morning and he asked if we would rather fish the intercoastal or the ocean and we voted ocean. We got out of Jupiter inlet headed north and he took us right to an area where we were immediately on mackerel. He is open to sharing his knowledge and fishing methods and great at instructing on how to work the lure.  Once we had our fill of mackerel we headed south and fished for Pompano and ladyfish. I have been out on multiple fishing charters in this area and other places and I have never met someone who is more into making sure the clients experience is exceptional. I would recommend to anyone who has a time to go out and enjoy a half day with Captain Trey.

The Capt.was excellent!  He put us on plenty of snook early in the trip and showed great patience with me six year old son. The highlight of the trip was the excitement on the Capt’s. face when I hauled in a top of slot snook on really light tackle. Best experience I ever had fishing for snook. I will be back in the summer to fish the inlet for the big boys. Thanks Topwater!

Capt. Trey knows his stuff.  We got into the snook on the 2nd or 3rd cast caught a few.  When they slowed down we went after the snapper and blue runners.  When that slowed down we hit the Pompano.  Trey made sure that everything was taken care of and he had a plan when things got slow.  It was a great trip.  I missed a few but that was my fault.  The Capt did his job.  He also has some pretty good stories. 

Unlike many Captains, Trey keeps you in the fish.  When he moves the boat it is to catch fish or look for bait, not to ride you around :)

Let’s start with the negative. The fish were not cooperating and didnt want to bite.

The positive. Capt Trey was very personable, friendly and upbeat. Was like fishing with a long time friend. Capt tried multiple methods to get us on the bite, never gave up on the day. My son caught several large Jack Crevelle, just when the day seemed to be over with no hope of a Snook, my boy lands two real nice snook. I guess I’m leaving out the big one my son lost, and the absolute MONSTER we lost. There may have been some yelling involved, by that time we were not customers but fishing buddies.
Moral to the story is I got skunked. It was a hard day of fishing and I recognize that. We had an absolute blast and will 100% book with Capt Trey. An absolute delight to fish with. NO COMPLAINTS!!!

Awesome trip by a great, professional and knowledgeable local Captain! Captain Trey put us on the Snook and we killed it starting from first cast. He was very helpful with my ten year old daughter and helped her pull in some big ones! Showed us an incredible local spot where we all got to take a dip to cool off as well - highly recommended and we will definitely book with Captain Trey again!
