  Summer 2026 Bass fishing trip

  Half Day Trip – Freshwater on July 8, 2026 • 2 adults

  My son (15) and I went bass fishing today with Capt. Reynaldo aka Papo. We met at the public access dock at 6:15 a.m. Papo was on time and got us out quickly on the lake. My first cast with Texas rigged red worm plastic got a nice 2 1/2 to 3 pound large mouth bass. My caught a nice 2 pound bass with a jerk bait. Papo also suggested using live shiners and set 2 poles with these on the back of the boat. Our first hour got about 4 to 5 nice bass. Beware the flying gnats were intense at this spot! The second spot was again very good with 4 more nice bass. we got skunked at the 3rd spot. Papo was very skilled with boat handling and givng pointers about fishing the lake. We will go again with Papo and next Spring try the Crappie trip.

  Highly Recommended Lake Okeechobee Charter Captain! We made a last-minute decision to fish Lake Okeechobee at a tough time for bass, but this captain was outstanding. He responded within minutes when we reached out. While some captains were calling it quits, he stayed dedicated, grinding through the day and successfully putting us on several good fish. He’s an absolute pleasure to fish with—super helpful the entire trip, constantly making sure we had everything we needed, and he treats you like an old friend from the moment you meet. If you want a captain who truly cares about getting you on fish and giving you a great experience, book this guy. We will definitely be booking another trip in the spring.   First Time Catching on Lake Okeechobee

  Half Day Trip – Freshwater - 1:00 PM on January 8, 2026 • 2 adults • 1 child

  First cast got a nice bass… second cast another… third cast a bite and a new shiner… fourth cast another bite and a new shiner… (dad here) I started a little slower…cast…sit…no bite…cast…wait…no bite. Then…a bite and a nice healthy good lookin Okeechobee bass and picked up another 3 for the afternoon. Great Captain and even better guide. Pulled up at a nice spot that produced. We caught 12 fish in total… four for me… and eight for my son. Great half day…one odd moment…having Roland Martin flip off my son…but thats a different story.

  Our captain, Reinaldo, did a great job. He was very friendly and helpful and prepared. We were out on the lake within minutes of meeting him at the boat. We caught fish and learned a lot during our half-day trip. We certainly recommend him as a fishing guide.

  1st time fishing on this Lake & it was great, didn't disappoint!! Took my son& nephew & we caught a bunch of big bass!!! Will definitely do another trip with this boat captain again. This trip was for a family bonding experience .
