Along with fishing, Captain Mike is an experienced dog trainer and waterfowl guide, hunting the prairies and marshes from Anahuac to Rockport. Captain Mike is also an accomplished writer and magazine columnist, with notable publications including Texas Saltwater Fishing Magazine. He has severed for decades with industry groups to represent and preserve the publics access to our great fishery in the Gulf. Mike served for years as the President of The Charter Fisherman's Association, Representing the charter industry with members from the South Texas Valley to Rhode Island, and has testified in front Congress on more than one occasion concerning fisheries issues and the effects of federal management on our fishing industry.
