This was our 3rd fishing charter of the year (not with these guys) and it was by far the best! Not only were Captain John and First Mate Nick very knowledgeable, they were so much fun to fish with! It was our first trip out in Florida and we both felt so comfortable with them, they were both so helpful. We had a blast just bait fishing, the bigger catches were just a bonus. It was an amazing day fishing with a great crew, the boat was phenominal (our favorite yet) and they landed us right on the fish. Best day of our vacation!! We already want to come back to fish with them again.

We scheduled a 4 hour afternoon trip with Capt John and Nick after taking our family out last year.  This year we had two other couples we vacation with that have very little fishing experience.  Capt John and Nick did an amazing job of getting us on fish and explaining how to get them in the boat.  We first trolled a bit and caught Mahi and a Bonita then bottom fished and got Red Grouper, Red Snapper, a Cobia, Trigger fish,  and King Mackrel.  everybody had a great time.  We would definitely recommend A Slice of Life to anyone interested in a offshore trip.  We will be scheduling future trips with them for sure. We finished our trip at Stewbys, who prepared our catch and it was amazing.

Headed out at 0600 to questionable weather conditions.  It was a bit choppy while we caught cigar minnows for bait (fun)  headed out to troll for game fish, we had steady action for several hours, doubled up on Mahi and king mackerel.  Moved to another spot after the waves died down to bottom fish for grouper, several fish caught but no keepers.  Hooked up with a couple sharks witch was a blast.  John and Nick were great, friendly and knowledgeable.  I was also impressed by the beautiful boat and excellent equipment.  Thanks guys

My family and I had THE best time with Captain John and Nick today. We caught several fish and enjoyed learning so much about the experience, as well as more about this beautiful area. I absolutely loved our trip with these guys. We had a great day on the water and ended up catching a keeper 21lb cobia, several keeper red snappers, kingfish, red groupers , several triggers but they weren’t in season so we didn’t keep them. We hooked up on several beast of sharks that ended up winning the battle but still had a blast and will definitely book with these gentleman again. One more thing is My son is 14 and is true love is fishing and he wants to actually be a charter captain one day. The captain and deckhand noticed his passion for fishing and went above and beyond to make his trip special. When we got back to the docks they put new line on all his rods and set them up like a pro. I will be reaching out soon to them to book another trip maybe in the fall and this will be a longer trip to go out more and try to land some big boys. Thanks again A slice of life charters.
