During the offseason, he works as a teacher and coach at a local high school. He has been married for over 13 years and is a proud father of 3 daughters. He says, 'I became the captain of SuFISHient Charters because I want to share my passion for fishing the great lakes with others. We have the greatest fishery in the world here in Michigan and I want others to be able to experience it as well.'
