Captain Tom was super accommodating and easy going. We caught a ton of fish and he was knowledgeable about not only the fish but the surrounding wildlife.

Despite it being windy and a bit cool when we started, the captain new exactly where to go to find the fish.  I hadn’t fished in years, so I appreciated his low key help.  My eldest son really enjoyed being out on the bay.  Time and money well spent.

My buddy and I did our annual “fishing tournament” with Captain Tom. As usual, he did not disappoint.  We had a great day on the water with some great action.  Tom keeps it fun with some great tunes on the boat and just some fun conversation on the water. This year was my year and I took it home with some great sized snook. The trophy is back where it belongs!!!!

Captain Tom knows the waters. I caught grouper, snook and grunts. His boat is sturdy and fast. Captain Tom is friendly and you feel at ease, like you have been fishing with him for years. He also provided music. I heard some flamenco along with classic rock. I had a great time. I look forward to fishing with Captain Charlton again the next time I am in town.

On our vacation from The Netherlands to Florida in july 2016, we booked a 3-hour fishing trip with Charlton’s Reef Cahrters for $325. Captain Tom took us to several fishing spots near the mangrove shores of Tampa bay. We (3p) all cought fish (Snook, Redfish, Seatrout, Ladyfish). We even spotted dolphins near our boat! We had a great experience. Thanks again Tom!

Got the Mrs. to allow me to go out with Tom on a full day Memorial Day Weekend Charter and again, he did not disappoint. Not only did he break my “snook curse” last time, but this time he put me right on them. Four snooks that day…so addictive. He hooked me up on a cobia and then as Im bringing mine up to the boat, he lands the other cobia swimming with mine, so Im back to back Cobia fishing. Overall, a great day on the water catching a little bit of everything (snappers, grunts, snooks, cobias, etc). I asked him why his prices were lower than the other captains (because you know there has to be a catch), and he told me he just loves being on the water and watching the excitement of people catching fish. Thanks again Tom!!!

I have been fishing for 30 years and the infamous snook has always eluded me. Well today, Captain Tom broke the curse!  He worked hard, moving from spot to spot, showing me the snook in the water.  There were other charters around us trying to do the same, but no one was hooking up. Finally, my line runs and a few minutes later, Ive got my first snook ever!!!!!  While it wasn’t a keeper, I got to realize why everyone chases them.

Today we got a couple snooks, a jack, and some small stuff.  All the boats were drawing blanks today, and Captain Tom must have put us on 10 different places.  He did everything possible…just some days the fish just aren’t hungry. Ive been out with Tom before and this is the first “slow” trip I have had with him.

I definitely recommend Tom.  He really wants you to have a good time and works hard to get you on the fish.  He even threw in extra time at no charge because he was personally frustrated with the fish.  If you are looking for a Captain who knows his stuff and is easy to be in a boat with for hours, this is your guy!!!!!!
