8 Hour Trip – Oak OrchardA group of four friends and I decided a few months ago to make a trip up to Oak Orchard for a weekend trip. We had always heard about the legendary lake salmon run, but didn't know where to start. Captain Hayden was super helpful with planning and even giving us some tips leading up to the trip. He was easy to get in touch with at anytime, and he had equipment to use depending on the size of your group. We met up at the Oak Dam the morning of and he instantly got us to the best spot on the stream. Despite having two guys who had never even been fly fishing before, we were absolutely slamming fish for the entire day. And I mean BIG fish. A really nice mix of salmons, browns, steelies. Captain Hayden had us on the water the whole time, and as soon as one rod was down, he would hand you another ready to go. The man and his helper Jack absolutely worked their butts off to keep us on fish and to also keep us from getting crowded out by other anglers. The guys and I are already planning our next trip back up to the Oak and without a doubt we are going back with Creek Chubs. Can't give em enough praise.

8 Hour Trip – Oak OrchardMy buddie and I really enjoyed fishing with Hayden. Having grown up in the area, he has a deep, first-hand knowledge of the lake Ontario tributaries. My buddy uses a cane and has problems with his knees, But Hayden was attentive and very helpful, and along with a good sense of humor, got us into and out of the river without a problem. Would definitely fish with him again.

He put us on to some amazing fish and made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. He was incredibly patient with me and my son as we learned how to fish the river, and his genuine excitement every time we caught one made it even more fun. You can tell he truly loves what he does. I’d highly recommend Hayden to anyone looking for a great fishing trip, and I’d absolutely fish with him again. Thanks for a fantastic trip, Hayden!

8 Hour Trip – Oak Orchard • 2 adultsCan’t say enough about our guide, Hayden! He got us in a great spot and had us hooked into multiple fish all throughout the day! We landed some big beautiful browns, and had an absolute blast fishing the amazing place that is Oak Orchard Creek! PS: Hayden is also incredibly patient with people that don’t know what they’re doing! We were losing his flies left and right, getting stuck in trees, tangling up his gear, and he never grew impatient!! I would absolutely recommend Creek Chubs guide service to anyone looking to have a successful day out on the Oak! Tight lines!! Warren Harden
