    I would definitely recommend this trip. I am a 41 yr old man, from Kentucky, that came down and wanted to experience Florida fishing. Fly Guys delivered, for sure. I caught about 35 fish, a bunch of the 3 different fish, but most exciting was the 36” Red fish that gave me the fight of my life, so far.

    Awesome fishing trip!

    4 Hour Trip (AM) • 2 adults

    My husband and I are out of town from Savannah and we love to fish, just don't get the chance to go by ourselves without our two small children. We had an absolute blast fishing with fly guys charters. He knew the area so perfectly and every spot he suggested, the fish were biting. My husband caught an awesome sized flounder, black drum, and croaker to keep and i caught a red drum. When we got back to shore, he even filleted the fish and bagged them up for us to take home! We will definitely be taking another trip with him when we come back down to JAX. Thanks for an awesome trip!

    Half day trip with Captain Smith!

    4 Hour Trip (AM)

    I'm normally don't go out fishing and originally only went out on the trip to spend time with some friends; however, Captain Smith, who goes by Marshal, made me change my mind about going on fishing trips. He provided all the needed gear and was very knowledgeable of the area we were in. He knew where to go to catch the fish and was able to ensure we all had a great time. This is the only way I'll go out fishing now. I'm already planning my next outing. I will be using Marshal from now on.

    Fly guys fishing.

    Our experience was a fun day filled with learning new techniques. However, we failed to land any fish due to our lack of experience using fly equipment. Matthew was a great guide and worked hard to get us on fish. It just wasn't our day. I would definitely book this trip again and feel like we would have much better success using what we learned. Matthew, was a lot of fun to hang out with and was an awesome teacher.

    Got us where we needed to be and was able to accommodate for multiple fishing styles. Very knowledgeable about the area and clearly knows what he’s doing. Cannot recommend enough.

What's biting with Fly Guys Charters in Jacksonville

Fishing starts to diversify again in September. Look out for Tarpon in large numbers as they school from Fernadina to Matansaz Inlet. Offshore, Sailfish is biting 25 miles out.

PM charter with lots of topwater action

Sean came along for a PM trip that ran from 6pm to 11pm. We targeted the big inshore species, and he managed to catch flounder, redfish, and seatrout over the course of the trip, including the redfish in the picture on a topwater lure. The bite is definately on!

Trout and redfish are staying hot, even

The lowcountry inshore fishing experience really gets hot when the water gets cold. Today we caught around 10 trout and 5 reds, and bent out hooks on 3 upper slot to overslot reds. The big ones are around, including gator trout (large trout pictured was 23")

Warm weather, but the bite has not slowe

Half day AM charter again, about 20 fish for the boat, mostly slightly underslot redfish, and 14.5" sea trout. The clients got 2 slot trout and one red prior to calling the trip due to slightly incliment weather.

Half day charter. Focused around the low tide, about 25 slot trout for the boat, kept 2 limits for the clients. Also caught around 10-13 underslot reds. The trout bite can not be beat right now!
