Captain Jack was probably the absolute best for me as a first time ocean goer. We took a half day trip (4 hour inshore) We started at noon so we were told the best time for Tarpon was night / early morning but let us try. I got one bite and it took my line. We do about 3 charters a year in various places and have had many different experiences. The worst is when you have a captain that seems hassled. Captain Jack was the opposite.  We had 4 adults and 2 kids (11,12). He was patient, helpful, but was also able to teach and help everyone. We got on fish early and caught fish most of the half day. I would highly recommend HiJack Charters.

We had a great time fishing with Jack! We went to a few different spots and caught fish at all of them. A few of our group members are autistic and Jack accommodated them perfectly making sure they were all set up to fish and helping them with any problems they encountered! Jack took us to multiple spots, with luck at every one of them! Not one time did we feel like a burden or a problem to him. He treated us with respect compassion and friendliness. During, and after the expedition, we felt like we had known jack for a very long time. He laughed with us, got excited with us(sometimes more than us hahaha) and enjoyed every second of it as much as we did. We plan on doing many more Miami trips, thanks to this amazing captain/fisherman and his expertise!

This trip was for our 15 yr old son, Captain Jack made sure the day was unforgettable for him and the rest of us, making sure that we got sharks and many other fish. His excitement and passion for what he does truly shows. He’s extremely patient for new anglers, knowledgeable and kind. He had loads of info about local sightseeing points and directed us to the most amazing lunch spot for after our fishing trip. Would recommend his trip to anyone.
