Went out of ucluelet with captain Josh and my 4 buddies. We caught lingcod and halibut offshore and limited out on both. Also first thing in the morning before the fishing started Josh took us to drop prawn traps. The Boat pristine condition and comfortable with 5 guests also the cabin has a heater that was great to keep warm as it was a cold day. I booked the longest Salmon trip with Catch My Drift so I’d have as much time on the water as possible. Josh’s boat is amazing with lots of upgrades, updates and custom additions that make the trip that much more enjoyable. I’ve been on other charters that were ok, but had a chance to go out on the boat with Captain Josh and this trip was so fun, mostly because of his upbeat, funny, chill personality, and that everything was provided for our trip - we just had to worry about being there in time for the early departure! His knowledge about the area and all species of fish is insane - if you’re looking for pointers or just wanna talk fish, this is your guy. Amazing trip out, most fun I’ve had in a while.

I originally planned on just going out for a half day bottom fishing trip, but decided to give the full day option a go and I’m glad I did! Being out on the water with Catch My Drift was some of the most fun I’ve had - the boat is awesome, the knowledge and instruction Josh provides is second to none, and the gear on board is some of the best I’ve had the chance to use. I will definitely be rebooking a trip with Josh this summer to try for salmon or tuna.
