Great fishing trip! Captain Stuart knows where the honey holes are!  Trip includes poles, bait and he cleans and bags your fish up. Highly recommend Reel Obsession.

The best thing I did was to discuss my trip selection with Captain Richardson!  What an amazing experience and my thanks to his Deckhand Cliff for sharing his expertise with me! This is the REEL deal, and OBSSESSION explains how I was able to view so many different species of fish.  Anyone considering fishing in the Gulf of Mexico should treat themselves to REEL OBSSESSION SPORT FISHING out of Port Mansfield.  I’ve already started working on my next trip!

Fishing with Rbf

Nothing beats sight casting for Redfish in clear shallow waters. You'll need to be extra careful not to spook them, but you'll be rewarded if you manage it.

February is a good time to fish for Black Drum. The best way to do it is to go past Redfish Bay and into the upper reaches of Laguna Madre.

As winter draws to a close, expect to see fewer Redfish inshore. The Trout bite remains strong, and you can also look forward to the occasional Flounder.

You can still catch Redfish down in the grassy flats. If you'd like to turn it up a notch, you'll be able to go after Marlin in the offshore waters as the month ends.

A large number of Tarpon appear within the first days of May. Not only that, but the Tuna bite offshore is getting better by the week.

Summer is here, and so is federal Red Snapper season. This bottom feeder is bound to be on top of every angler's list for the time being.

There's so much to do in Port Mansfield now that you'll be spoiled for choice. How does offshore fishing for Tuna, Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, and others sound?

Deep sea fishing is going strong in August as well, get it while it's hot! Otherwise, you can also go after some inshore fish in the local bay.

This time of year is a good time to do some Flounder fishing if you're up for it. The best way to do so is to look for them close to the flats to the south of town.

If you think things slow down in October, you couldn't be more wrong! In fact, it's a great time for just about any kind of fishing, both inshore and offshore.

When the waters cool down, you get some great opportunities for fly fishing. The Tuna bite is also hot, so feel free to try different things.

Clear waters make for awesome fishing inshore. You'll be knee-deep in Redfish, Black Drum, and Trout throughout Laguna Madre.
