You better believe that it can get cold in Lakeshore in January. If the temperatures are cold enough, you could enjoy some ice fishing. If that's not really your thing, stay warm and wait for sunnier days.

The weather is still far from those fishing-perfect temperatures, but maybe towards the end of the month, you can start preparing and fixing up your gear. It doesn't hurt to get prepared for the upcoming spring.

We're still not out of the woods, but there are more and more pleasant days in the forecast. If you can't wait to start fishing, head to the Detroit River in the second half of the month, and you could hook some nice Walleye.
