  If you’re reading reviews trying to decide which charter to book, you can stop looking. You found it. We’ve been on fishing charters before, so we know the captain can make or break the entire experience — and this one absolutely exceeded our expectations. We put our trip in his hands and trusted him to decide what would give our family the best day on the water. Best decision we could have made. He went above and beyond from beginning to end. What impressed us most was how incredibly well-rounded the trip was. He was unbelievably kind and patient with our kids — helping them cast, teaching them, talking them through everything, and making sure they were involved and having fun. Because he was so attentive with them, Dad actually got the chance to relax and FISH too — which any parent knows is a pretty big deal! It wasn’t a kids trip where the adults just tagged along, and it wasn’t an adult fishing trip where the kids were an afterthought. He somehow made it feel like everyone’s trip, and that balance is hard to find. And this man KNOWS his water. It honestly felt like he knew what was sitting in every hole. We had target species we wanted to knock off our list, and he knew exactly where to take us. We got on some GREAT fish, checked off those target species, and ended the day bringing home enough for an amazing fresh fish dinner. But the fish were only part of what made the day so memorable. It was refreshing to have a captain who wasn’t constantly watching the clock or making us feel like just another booking. He genuinely seemed to enjoy having us on his boat as much as we enjoyed being there. You could see the pride he takes in his boat, his community, and the waters he fishes. He genuinely cares about what he does, and it shows. Knowledgeable, patient, kind, personable, and genuinely invested in giving your family an incredible experience. We’ve done charters before, and this is exactly the kind of captain you hope to find. Maybe the best compliment we can give is this: we’re so glad we’ll never have to search for another charter when we come back. We found our captain. We already can’t wait to book our next trip (and don’t worry, next time we’ll bring you some of that Wisconsin cheese!) So if you’re still comparing charters, don’t. Book this one. You’ll be glad you did.

  Great Father Son Trip

  Came down from NY for vacation with my 14 year old son. Captain Ken was very accommodating to our trip expectations. Being fishermen, we know there is a reason its called fishing and not “catching”. We didnt want to stay in one spot catching the same fish over and over. Captain Ken took us to multiple spots to catch a variety of fish as we planned. Bites were tough, but we were able to catch 6 different species that we wanted to target. Captain Ken did not rush us on time and made sure we achieved our mission. Also got to save on other excursions by being able to see dolphins, the “Lady in the Water”, and see the area. Very personable, respectful, and made it feel like we were already friends. Will schedule on our next trip! Thanks Captain Ken!!

  very easily coulda been a bust

  this trip coulda been a bust very easily. Temps dropped into the lower 50's, rainy and high winds. Despite this captian kenneth still put us on some fish. we tapped out early but we still had a great time and made some great memories. will def be using him again in the near future and encourage everyone to give him a call for their fishing trips.

  Ken and his son/first mate Kelly are fantastic. My son and I booked a day of bottom fishing with Hoo Knows. Ken kept at it until we found fish...and we found the fish! Had a great time fishing for snappers and tiles. Even afterward, they went the extra mile and took us looking for Mahi. Super good guys and a great experience.

  Woke up this morning thinking it may be a rocky fishing trip bc of bad weather. Captain Kenneth turned it around, and took my husband & I on the best fishing trip we have ever been on. 10/10 couldn't recommend enough, will definitely be coming back to fish with him again!
