- Captain Nick Leiterman has been fishing for over 35 years in the Gulf of America!!! He prides himself on coming in with big trophy worthy fish. If you want to catch the fish of a lifetime, this is your boat! The owner Ben and captain nick have fished together many years and are a great team!
- Techniques
- We do a lot of live bait fishing on our trips targeting very nice red snappers we use cut bait to but are more productive with life bait , we also keep drift lines out while everyone is fishing so its always an exciting suprise when all of the sudden you here the drag screaming off the reel , we catch king mackeral and cobia and some mahi from time to time and every now and again get lucky and a sailfish gets on ,also wahoo , very big fish ,fun to to catch ,we do offshore fishing in 3to600 ft with electric reels for snowy grouper ,yellowedge grouper ,golden tile fish ,black grouper ,and many other interesting fish most people have never seen before ,on longer trips we also do like trolling for yellowin tuna with ballyhoo rigged with duster skirts and sometimes we will fly a kite with live hardtails to get a big strike on yelliwfin and blue marlin and white marlin and last but not least we will switch sometimes our tackle to a 2hook rig to catch a variety of reef fish with cut squid and cut boston mackeral to catch trigger fish ,vermillion snapper, white snapper, scamp grouper , almaco jacks , lane snapper and other interesting species of bottom fish snd when its the dog days of summer when temperatures are hottest and fish are pickier eaters we lighten up the size of our leaders and our hook size could be smaller just to outwit those smarter fish ,its a constant ever do changing patterns we adapt to certain times of the year to ensure our customers great catches.
