Our trip wasn’t very long as we had to cut it short due to my Mom getting sea sick. But in the couple hours we spent with Captain Carmen, she was wonderfully accommodating, and she managed to help us catch a Coho salmon! She taught me how to reel it in, explaining why, and giving me lots of guidance on what to expect when the fish got close to the boat. She even cleaned and filet our fish for us. Just returned from a soggy day with Captain Carmen but despite the weather we had a wonderful day. We were cebrating my brother’s birthday and Carmen made it a special one for us. We caught plenty of fish, chinook and coho and a number of rock fish and even a small ling cod which wanted to come to the party. Our captain expertly guided us to some of the best fishing of a lifetime. The boat was very comfortable and well equipped, and the captain made sure we were fishing effectively at all times. We caught numerous kings and cohos with a fish on every 10 minutes or so and one instance when we had a double. Nothing but smiles and high-fives all around as we celebrated each success, and we would recommend this service to anyone.

Captain Carmen took my son (14) and myself out for the 6 hour charter. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. I’m absolutely positive Carmen has provided both us with memories that will last our lives. I’m sure the grin on my son’s face after catching the 20lb plus Chinook will be there the rest of the summer! I look forward to bringing my other sons out in the coming years for this experience. Captain McKaig is professional and outgoing. We easily communicated before the trip about essential information. She made sure that we up for success. We caught some beautiful salmon and had a fun half day on the water. We learned about the environment we were in and how to fish effectively. Fantastic location, great captain, great boat!
