Great experience, great guide! Very accommodating!!

    Half Day2 adults

Our original time frame ended up being during a thunderstorm. Tyler was very accommodating and was able to push our time back to the afternoon after it had quit raining. We had a very successful fishing experience. Caught many yellow bass, some crappies, a couple of walleyes and one big whopper walleye! We even got a quick tour of the Shoreline to look at all of the beautiful homes. We would definitely use Tyler again!!

    Reported catch:
    Walleye
    Crappie

    What an awesome trip!

Half Day- Big Spirit Lake2 adults

I would definitely recommend Captain Tyler. He is very knowledgeable of several techniques to catch fish and a lot of them. We caught largemouth bass smallmouth bass northern pike Walleye, Crappie, bluegill and even a drum. My son had a blast and Tyler made it a point to teach him how to jig for Walleye on the live scope. This was a top 10 day and a day that we will not soon forget!

    Reported catch:
    Crappie

    Great Trip

Forward Facing Sonar Training- Half2 adults

Had a great time on the lake. Even during off peak fishing times we caught a ton of yellow bass and a few walleye. Our guide, Tyler, was extrememly knowledgable about the lake and its species. His enthusiasm for fishing ensures you’ll have fun and learn a lot. I’ll definitely be booking again.

    Response from Captain

She can be a little tough when the pleasure boaters get going but we definitely figured it out. Thanks for a memorable experience. I had a blast.

Fall Transition

Sep 24, 2025 • Ventura
Fall is here, and the fish are on the move. The other day we bounced from spot to spot, working those transition areas where summer weedlines give way to hard-bottom edges. Staying mobile was the key. After a few moves, the Livescope lit up, and a big mark slid into view. One good thump later, and a 25-inch walleye was in the net. That’s what fall fishing is all about—covering water, dialing in the transitions, and finding those big, hungry walleyes. At Let’s Go Fishing Guide Service, we’ll put you right in the middle of the action.

A Day to Remember: Clear Lake, IA

Jul 6, 2025 • Ventura
This morning started early at Wolford’s Island. The lake was calm, the sky still waking up — and so were the fish. We found the yellow bass stacked thick and hungry, but the walleyes? Not so much. They were acting like it was still bedtime. So, we made a move — reeled up and switched to trolling. And that’s when the magic started. The rods started bending and the drag started singing. First, a fat 23-inch walleye hit the net, then came crappies and more yellow bass. Things were heating up quick. With momentum on our side, we changed it up again and slid into some weeds. That’s where we landed another beauty — a 23.5-inch walleye, thick and golden, straight out of the cabbage. But the real curveball of the day? One of the rods doubled over and it didn’t stop. After a long, heavy fight, we pulled up a carp pushing nearly 30 pounds. Unexpected, wild, and easily the highlight of the trip. Who knew? Just another day guiding on Clear Lake — where the fish keep it interesting and the stories write themselves.
