  Very Knowledgeable Captain

  4 Hour inshore fishing trip on July 28, 2026 • 2 adults

  Captain Noah was very knowledgeable about the area and fishing locations, he took us to several spots and we were able to catch 4 fish, a Red Snapper, which we took back to the hotel and they prepared it for us for dinner, a Scorpion Fish, a very large needlefish and, the highlight of the day, a Roosterfish which was very large and he took great care in ensuring the survival of the fish. The first mate Sebastian was very helpful with managing the rods and handling all of the bait and fish. The journey to the fishing locations is not very far from playa Herradura so we spent virtually the entire 4 hours fishing which was great!

  Awesome Fishing! Great Crew!

  9 Hour Trip – Inshore Fishing on July 13, 2026 • 2 adults

  Noah and Charlie were nothing less than awesome! I took 4 chargers on a week and this tiny boat was by far the best in terms of fishing, experience and results. They planned the day, asked what we wanted to catch and made it happen. We caught bait and a Rooster Fish before another boat had even caught bait. Noah and Charlie worked the water to find fish and mashed it a great day. We caught 9 different species! the other boats didn't come close even though we had bigger boats and more expensive days. I am a seasoned fisherman and i highly recommend Fish Happens! Thanks Noah and Charlie!

  Best Trip Ever!!

  9 Hour Trip – Inshore Fishing on June 6, 2026 • 2 adults

  We had an amazing day fishing with Noah. My boyfriend's goal was to catch a roosterfish, and he came so close! Even though it got away, the day was a huge success. He caught several mahi mahi, and being able to take some back and cook it was one of the highlights of our trip. Noah knew exactly where to go, kept us on fish, and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. The day itself was beautiful. Noah provided drinks, a delicious lunch, and fresh pineapple, and we even got to jump in the water for a bit. It was the perfect mix of fishing, relaxing, and enjoying being on the water in Costa Rica. When we make it back to Costa Rica to try for that roosterfish again, we'll definitely be booking with Noah. Highly recommend!

  my wife and i went on a charter with noah and charlie from fish happens and had an awesome time! very kind and helpful captain and first mate and seemed like they enjoyed the trip as much as we did. they provided food, drinks, fruit and even some beers. we caught a bunch of fish and went straight from the boat to a restaraunt at the drop off point and had the best fish tacos ive ever had with the fish we had just caught. Great trip would do it again 🤙

  Small boat, HUGE adventure

  5 Hour Trip – Inshore Fishing (AM) on January 22, 2026 • 1 adult

  Captain Noah and First Mate Charlie are the best of the best. While the boat is small and can only accommodate two anglers comfortably, what the boat lacks in size Charlie and Noah more than make up for in their knowledge and work ethic. We trolled nearly 34 miles on an inshore charter, using live sardines and rapala lures. Within the first 5 minutes we boated our first of FIVE Rooster fish caught on the morning, including THREE ROOSERS AT ONE TIME, with Captain, Charlie, and myself all fighting fish simultaneously. What an unbelievable experience. In all, we also landed Spanish mackerel, Jack Crevalle, and needlefish, with a total catch of 12 for the morning. One of the finer experiences I have had on the water.
