Full Day Trip • 3 adultsCaptain Adelson and his first mate are hands down the best charter I’ve ever had. Not only were they friendly and talkative, the fishing experience they gave us was absolutely incredible. We ended up catching 3 mahi mahi, 2 tuna, and to top it all off, we caught a sailfish! Cannot say enough good things about these guys. If you’re looking for a good and reliable charter, book this one! You won’t regret it!

Full Day Trip • 4 adultsWe had an 8 hour trip and started out trolling and caught a 15-20 lb mahi but seas were rougn and trolling was slow and no other boats were catching anything so we did some bottom fishing and caught 7 red snapper and then decided to try for roosterfish inahore. We caught one nice one and then that slowed down. The crew made fresh mahi ceviche that was out of this world good. This may not be typical, but since we were staying close to Captain Moies , he offered to to cook our mahi and snapper and brought it to our rental. It was a fantastic meal and over and beyond!

Half Day Trip (AM) • 3 adultsWe went fishing again with this charter and again, they did not disappoint. We went out for 4 hours and caught 5 roosterfish! Again, we cannot say enough good about this charter. They are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area as well as knowing their stuff when it comes to fishing. If you are having a difficult time deciding what charter to book, this is the best!

3/4 Day Trip • 2 adultsi have fished all over the world and Capt Moses and his crew were not only the most knowledgeable salt water guides i have ever fished with, they were fun and so attentive to our needs during the trip. Most important, Capt Moses went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. We caught lots of fish and i was able to fulfill a bucket list goal of landing a Sailfish!!! i am recommending them to all of my friends and plan on coming back to fish with them in the future! Thanks Moses, Alex and Andres for a grrat time!!!

Half Day Trip (AM) • 2 adultsFor my girlfriend and my moms 89th birthday we booked a day of inshore fishing on the Big Eye. target sepcies was rooster fish and to have mom hook up. We had a great day with lots of inshore action on many species. Black tuna, yellowfin tuna, spanish mackerel, bonita and to top it off mom got a small dorado and my girlfriend got a 35 lb rooster fish. The crew was amazing took special care of mom and made sure we had a great time. food,drinks and fishing gear was also great!!

Wet Season means Sailfish!

Our winter, or rainy season, is a great time for fishing in Costa Rica. The afternoon rains cool things off for the next morning and the limbs that wash out to sea attract Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, and Sailfish.
This half day trip with Paul we caught this gorgeous Sailfish, weighing in about 120 lbs. These fish are strictly catch-and-release, but we made sure to record the catch.

A Family with Great Young Anglers

The Ryan family approached me, wanting to book a full day of fishing. Their young boys are avid fishermen, and they impressed me with their puffed out chests and stories of other fish they've caught. Even though they're experienced, we made sure to have the light reels on board to set up the boys with the perfect gear for them.
It was a tough morning, not many bites or fish on the reel. We came back in closer to shore and spotted and group of birds circling over a school of Tuna and Pacific Jack Crevalle.
The whole family fished the rest of the day, eventually catching-and-releasing 15 Tuna and Jack! It was a great day and the boys had great attitudes, reeling in as many if not more than their parents.
Sportfishing is a great family activity. You can relax and have fun together in between catches. We have a retractable roof for shade and make sure that you have everything you need to make the best experience possible. The Tale of Dennis and the Dorado

Dennis joined us for an afternoon of sport fishing last week. Things started slowly, and were worried that we weren't going to catch anything. But the crew worked hard to set all the lines right and get him to the fishing spot. Just as we were about to head in, we landed 5 mahi mahi within a span of 30 minutes!
The prize catch was this 45 lb. bull dorado. It put up a huge fight, using it's prominent head to plane in the water and jump, trying to get free. But Dennis won the fight and we got the fish on the boat. We then stayed out a bit to watch a really beautiful sunset on the water.
By the time we pulled into Ocotal bay, first mate Ever has the mahi filets prepared, and we were able to set Dennis up at local restaurant Father Rooster with a great dinner of Mahi Mahi three ways - grilled, blackened, and breaded as fish and chips.
It was an awesome afternoon and we can't wait to have Dennis on board with us again.
