We booked this trip pretty last minute because my buddy and I were completely burned out from work and just needed to get out on the water for a few hours. We knew an afternoon trip might mean tougher fishing, but honestly we didn’t even care — we just wanted to unwind.

Captain Steve was awesome from the start. You could tell he genuinely wanted us to catch fish and enjoy ourselves. Even when the bite was slow, he kept working, moving spots, changing things up, and doing everything he could to put us on fish.

And it paid off! We ended up catching some catfish, a few hybrids, and a mix of other fish too. Nothing beats that feeling when the rod finally bends, especially when you know it wasn’t an easy day.

More than anything, it was just a great time. Lots of laughs, good conversation, and a few solid fish to top it off. Exactly the kind of reset we needed. We’ll definitely be booking with Captain Steve again.

My two teenage sons and I had a great afternoon with our Captain Steve. Super kind to the boys. Our hooks were literally never without bait. Super nice. We will be back!
