I'm a 5th generation fisherman from Venice, LA. I used to Trawl for Shrimp, Catch Blue Crabs with traps, Long line Sharks, and fish Sheepshead commercially. In 2014 I decided to make a change so I started charter fishing and it's been incredible.

    Great first time experience for redfish!

    3/4 Day Trip – Inshore • 4 adults

    Herman communicated with our group extremely well. He took us to areas where we saw no other boats. All of our fishing was done in shallow waters and we used shrimp. We caught our limit of reds each day, as well as several other species. Herman cleaned and froze our fish for transport back to Missouri the following day. It was a good experience.

    AMAZING TRIP!! WE WILL BE BACKKKK!!

    3/4 Day Trip – Inshore • 2 adults

    Herman was an amazing captain for our trip for my Fiancé’s birthday weekend. This was my first time fishing and he was very patient and gave great instructions on how to cast and reel in good fishes. in the end, we caught some red fish, sheep head, and troute to take back home. His boat was clean and comfortable and he took us to some spots for big catches. We will be back next year to catch some Snapper!!

    Herman is a total pro that has fished the area for many, many years. Immaculate boat and equipment. Great Cajun music and conversation. And oh yea - we limited out by 7:00 A.M. Will definitely book again the next time I'm in Venice!

    Great Captain! He knows the waters. Well kept boat and equipment. Father and sons trip. Limits of Reds both days. With an array of other species of fish. Tough fishing in very high winds but Herman made it look easy.

    Capt Herman was fantastic. Good conversation, incredible local knowledge, and knows where the fish are. He worked hard to get us on them and we smoked them. Will definitely be back out with him in the future
