A fisherman for most of his life, Captain Juan always enjoyed fishing with other people and sharing his tips and expertise with others. The natural next step was to become a captain. He did so in 2016 and still gets a thrill every time he's out on the water, especially when seeing people catch their first fish thanks to his help. The most rewarding thing, for him, is seeing other people catch their daily limit or their dream, big catch.

    Fish Fear Us

    2 hour trip • 5 adults

Captain Juan was phenomenal in all aspects. He patiently educated us while being incredibly personable. Within minutes, we were catching fish left and right. The five of us had a great time as rookie fishermen, 10/10 wouldn't pick anyone else to charter with again!

    Great experience!

Half Day Trip (AM) • 4 adults

Juan loves his job and it shows! Incredibly knowledgable, helpful, and just a great guide. Our boys (13 and 17) caught trout, snapper, mackerel, sheepshead…it was a great morning on the water!

What's biting with Glo#1 Fishing Charters Captain Juan Herndon in St. Petersburg

Tarpon season winds down, although you can still catch them over rocky bottoms. They love the Stone Crab season because they can eat like kings that they are. Just watch out for the crab lines once you're hooked!
