- Salmon: Salmon fishing is primarily a trolling game. although it's not uncommon to catch these guys on a jig while bottom Fishing. Albacore: I am the only boat in South Beach Marina (that I know of) that has and uses specialized slow pitch jigging rods and lures. During the later part of the season when albacore go deep this is the only way to be productive when the fishing is tough. If you haven't experienced a silver bullet attacking a lure at over 40 mph you are definitely should! What an experience! Halibut: is a drifting/jig fishing fishery.
