Half Day Trip – Inshore - 8:00 AM • 2 adultsSteven is a wonderful Captain! His refreshing personality and knowledge of the waters makes inshore fishing a blast! I was skeptical about inshore fishing because all I ever seemed to catch was catfish... yuk, so I had always preferred offshore. Steven sure changed my mind about that! Dan and I caught several species, we had a variety of keeper fish all cleaned by Steve to take home for a few meals. What a lovely day it was! This was Dan's second time on Reel Fishing Charters and my first of many. Thank you Steven for a job well done! Thank you Steven and we'll be back again soon! Thanks Steven for a marvelous inshore fishing trip!

Half Day Trip – Inshore - 8:00 AM • 2 adultswe meet up with the captain early. He informed us that the tide would be better a little earlier, we went to the private boat ramp that he uses. no worry about vandalism, there. It is under surveillance with cameras and gated access. The captain had excellent communication skills. He really knows the area that you're a fishing in. He put us on a school of about 50 red fish. We caught many fish that day. He even ran the charter a little later because of all the fish that we were catching, You will not be disappointed. thanks Captain

In a 4 hour trip, we caught more than enough good tasty fish to cook up fresh when we got home for 4 people. He took care of every detail including cleaning the fish! Half Day Trip – Inshore • 1 adultWent on a solo afternoon trip with Capt. Steven today and had a great time. He didn’t just put me in front of the fish and have me reel them in he took the time to explain what we were doing and why. I learned a ton and ended the day with a 24” red and a keeper sheepshead and snapper to round out the box. All in all it was a great trip and I will definitely be back again next time I am in town.

Two Slot Reds, Plenty of Trout & Snapper

What an awesome day we were blessed with today, you couldn’t have asked for better conditions. We hit the reds early and found some nice ones , caught a beautiful over slot followed by a perfect 27” . We kelts on the reds for awhile until we found our second slot fish and then decided to go fill the cooler with some more fish for dinner. We caught a variety of trout , snapper grunts and even a few play size grouper .

Double trouble:
Two of my repeat customers dan and gigi had a great day catching some nice mid slot reds. After we had our fill of redfish we bounced around the rocks catchking some snapper and grunts to finish out the day.

Ozello Sunrise: Reds, Snapper, Grunts

The early bird gets the worm:
There isnt many things that I enjoy more than a sunrise in ozello it is one of life simple pleasures that i have come to truly appreciate and the fact that i get to share it with my awesome customers makes it that much better. We started early this morning and didnt waste anytime getting into the action. The red fish bite was consistent but they did make us work to find our slot fish. Once we had a few reds in the bix we ran out to the rocks and filled the cooler with snapper and grunts. We ended the day back at the dock before noon and just in time for lunch.

Father‑Son Trip: Hot Redfish Bite

Father and son fishing fun:
There is just something nostalgic about having a father and son crew on on the boat knowing that they are making core memories that will last forever. I have my dad to thank or blame if you will for my love of the water and fishing , so trils like these are just as enjoyable for me as they are the anglers. We started our day with a hot redfish bite and quickly caught our slot keepers for the day, we continued to play with the reds for awhile until they had their fill of fun fights. With plenty of time to spare we transitioned to what i like to call grocery shopping on some nearshore rocks to round out our bag of fillets for a fish fry.

First Redfish & Dad’s New PB in Crystal

This young man started the day off with his 1st ever redfish, Dad didn’t let him have the spotlight for long and fired right back with a beautiful upper slot fish and a new PB. Back at the dock before lunch and off to enjoy some fresh fish and explore what else Crystal River has to offer

Early Morning Mullet School Success

The early bird gets the worm!
That is the trend this time of year targeting mullet schools on a early morning incoming tide has been the combination to success as of late. The early morning lower water temps have the fish biting before the heat of the day sets in and seems to shut the bite off in the afternoon.
