Had a great day today โ€œgrocery shoppingโ€ for a fish fry. We stryws our day with low water so we went to the rocks to pick up some good fish to fry up then worked our way in with the tide and got on a school of redfish and was able to land her first keeper redfish , not the biggest but for a first a keeper is a keeper. We had a great day and accomplished the mission of โ€œbringing home the groceriesโ€โ€™

We had a beautiful morning with a good incoming tide ,overcast skyes and almost no wind. We started our day on the hunt for some redfish and found a hungry school tailing near a rocky point. We hooked up almost instantly and warmed up with a few smaller reds then the star of the show made his appearance, we saw this bruiser of a fish about 10 yards off the bow and was able to pitch a live shrimp to him and he nailed it as soon as he saw it. Despite a wound from a previous shark bite this 32โ€ brute gave an amazing fight and was released to live another day.

Had a afternoon to take my daughter fishing and had a absolute blast. She wanted to go โ€œcstchingโ€ not fishing so to the rock piles we went. We filled the cooler with a variety of snapper , grunts , sheepshead , seabass and trout, she then hooked a ambitious grouper that gave her a great fight on lite tackle. All together it was a great day in between charters and some much needed father daughter time.

This time of year is a great time to get a kid on the water. The shallow rock piles in our area are seeing good numbers of these delicious and easy to catch grunts showing up along with mangrove snapper and spanish mackerel. These are easy fun fish to keep kids engaged and put aome tasty table fare in the box.

What an awesome day! We started our 4 hour afternoon trip with a wind that was doable but definitely going to be an annoyance for my original plan for the day. As I get back to the dock from pulling my pinfish trap its like some one just turned the fan off , the wind just died to almost a faint breeze. Now my client arrives and i tell him we have a window for almost the next 4 hours lets go get these fish while the getting is good. We spent the next 4 hours pulling on redfish up to an almost top slot fish coming in at 26 3/4โ€. The fish pictured was a nice 24โ€ red along with a bonus sheepshead and mangrove snapper that we finished out the day with. I told anthony that he was a natural and he replied โ€œehh its beginners luckโ€

Got to slip out for a quick trip this morning with my wife before the wind picks up for the next few days. We found the redfish chewing exactly where i thought they would be. We made quick work of puttlng 2 perfect eater size fish in the box and then switched to artificial and played around for the next 2 hours catching and releasing a absolute ton of fish.
