Ive lived full time in Ucluelet now for 10 years raising a family and working on the ocean. As a Dive Harvester , I spend most of my winter underwater searching for urchins and sea cucumbers. My experience hanging out on reefs 30 - 40 feet deep for most of the year is beneficial to my knowledge of fish habitat - a great asset for catching fish. I love fishing for a living and I hope my kids will be able to fish for their dinner too. Looking forward to some great times out there -Jesse

    Excellent Charter

    Intro to Salmon Fishing • 2 adults

    Went out in the afternoon for a short mission with Captain Jesse and had an awesome experience on the water. Was a bit windy but Jesse got us into a nice spot for some coho and spring - great and easy to talk to Captain - Fully Recommend!

    What a day out !

    Half day • 2 adults

    Had an amazing day out with Jesse, he’s not only a great guy but also has great fishing knowledge. Caught plenty of Salmon including one huge specimen, also hooked up a huge 40 lb plus Halibut which we got to the side of the boat. Unfortunately we lost it as it was on light gear with only a small hook…….. maybe next time 😩. Highly recommend !

    Jesse was awesome. Super friendly and he really worked hard to get us fish. We ended up with both salmon and rockfish. if you’re looking for a guide definitely reach out to Jesse.

What's biting with Friendly Fins Charters in Ucluelet

Salmon and Halibut fishing are still strong, both offshore and in Barkley Sound. You're likely to catch Lingcod and Sockeye on the side. Drop a few crab traps and come home with a full cooler!
