I started running spearfishing trips because I wanted to meet new people and spend every waking minute in the sea. Over time, it became so much more – the awe I experienced underwater changed my life and I decided that I would completely dedicate myself to this calling. I love teaching people about the sport of spearfishing because it helps them see everything from a new unique perspective.

Matias was a wealth of knowledge, and even with my limited prior experience, he put me on to a lot of fish. He was very patient and kind, but allowed me to push past my comfort level. I highly recommend a trip woth Spearfishing Caribe.

With the bulk of the Billfishing having come to an end, sport fishing in Playa del Carmen slows down slightly in October. It's just in time for the high tourist season to pick up, with cruise ships arriving and hotel rates rising.
