Whether you're celebrating the beginning of a new year by fishing the Root River itself, or checking what's biting at the river's mouth, Racine is the place to begin your adventure. Brown Trout are biting!

The last month of winter can be promising if the waters around Racine are frozen. You can test out your ice fishing skills! Otherwise, head to the Root River for some Trout fishing.

Various spots in the Root River can be pretty productive for Steelhead fishing during this month. A local guide will be able to get you hooked up. Lake Michigan's fishing season kicks off during this month, too.

Head to the Root River to catch your limits of Salmon and Trout. You can also explore Lake Michigan's western basin for the chance to hook into Coho Salmon!

Schools of Salmon continue to migrate north from the Ssuthern basin of Lake Michigan in May. Try trolling for Coho Salmon for the best results. It's time to see what Lake Michigan is all about!

Early June is a great time to experience some of the best fishing on Lake Michigan. Racine captains are busy putting their clients on top of Coho Salmon, as well as Chinook Salmon in the Root River.

This time of year is considered to be the busiest period of summer. Both the Root River and Lake Michigan are brimming with top species, and are full of anglers looking to hook into big Salmon and Trout.

In the last month of summer, the productive waters of Racine provide steady action for Salmon and Trout anglers. King Salmon, Steelhead, Lake Trout, and Brown Trout are all biting!

The best time to get your fish on in Racine in in September is as early in the morning as possible. Enjoy fishing for King Salmon on Lake Michigan and then head to the Root River for whatever's biting.

This time of year allows you to wrap up Racine's fishing season with some top catches. Head to the lake or river and target the lasty Brown Trout, Coho Salmon, Lake Trout, Chinook Salmon, and Steelhead.

The last month of fall is still good when it comes to fishing Lake Michigan's tributaries for river Steelhead and Brown Trout. If the Root River isn't too low, head there to explore the bite.

Both the harbor and the Root River can be fantastic spots for ice fishing opportunities, as long as the ice is thick enough. Northern Pike and Perch are especially popular catches!
