Charter Boat Snapper Trapper

Destin, United States

I grew up fishing the Chesapeake Bay learning trolling for rockfish then moved on to the Atlantic Ocean for Tuna ,moved to NWFL 25 years ago and started fishing the Gulf of Mexico. Destin has the best fishery with an array of species to fish, the surprise of what species you pull up from the bottom definitely got me hooked for life. And I would like to extend my knowledge of the waters to other people to enjoy.

    Great team

    5 trolling and bottom fishing • 5 adults • 2 children

We had an amazing time fishing on the Snapper Trapper! Tim and Jacob were fantastic guides and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. The boat is huge, very clean, and extremely comfortable. I’ve been deep-sea fishing in Destin several times, and this was probably one of the toughest days I’ve experienced because the ocean simply wasn’t cooperating. The waves were rough, the ride was very bumpy, and the water conditions weren’t ideal. Despite those challenging conditions, Tim and Jacob still managed to put us on fish at every spot we visited. I probably would have caught even more fish if I hadn’t made the mistake of fighting them like I was bass fishing. Deep-sea fishing requires a different technique, and I was trying to pull them in too aggressively instead of letting the gear do the work. That’s on me, not the crew! Tim and Jacob were knowledgeable, hardworking, and committed to making sure everyone had a successful trip. I highly recommend the Snapper Trapper to anyone looking for a great fishing charter. We’ll definitely be back!

Captain Tim and Jacob were excellent!

5 trolling and bottom fishing • 4 adults

Captain Tim and Jacob made the first charter fishing experience with our family excellent. They communicated well, were easy going/fun and provided exceptional support for us first timers. They went out of their way to find us fish which we cooked up at our rental for an unforgettable shore meal and experience.

We had a blast catching ALL the fish with Captain Tim and Jake! Captain knew exactly where to put us to get the fish and Jake worked his butt off to keep us baited and took care of all the dirty fish stuff! Don’t miss out on these memories with your family!
