Background: Capt. Dean fell in love with fishing as a child, and now owns his very own charter and lodging company in beautiful Nestor Falls. He decided to turn his passion for angling into a career at the age of 14, when he went to a fair and saw a stand for a Great Bear Lake guiding charter. He got hired when he was 15 to help out, and building his angling career has been an adventure and a dream come true for him ever since! Capt. Dean has now fished all around Canada, especially the northern parts, and has never missed a summer of fishing for over 42 years. He’s been fishing Lake of the Woods for over 22 years, and fell in love with it because of the long season, and the “never-ending mess of it”! He also loves that the lake is brimming with Muskies, and that there's always something new to discover here – every trip to the lake is an adventure. He’s incredibly dedicated to customer service, too, and will do all he can to make sure you have the fishing and lodging experience of a lifetime.
