- My name is Loren, and fishing has been a lifelong passion of mine. Originally from Maine, I spent years fishing the lakes, rivers, and coastline of New England before relocating to Southwest Florida in 2021. Since making Florida my home, I have dedicated countless hours to learning the area's beaches, tides, seasonal fish patterns, and unique coastal ecosystem. As an avid beach angler, I have developed a deep appreciation for the challenge and excitement that comes with fishing directly from the shoreline. From targeting pompano in the surf to chasing snook, redfish, sea trout, and other inshore species, I enjoy sharing the knowledge and techniques that make beach fishing such a rewarding experience. When I'm not on the beach, I work as a telecommunications lineman and enjoy spending time with my wife of over 10 years and our four children. Family is at the heart of everything I do, which is why I built Southwest Florida Beach Fishing Adventures to be a welcoming experience for anglers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're introducing your child to fishing for the first time or you're an experienced angler looking to learn more about the local waters, my goal is to create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for every guest. What started as a personal passion for fishing has grown into a desire to help others experience the beauty of Southwest Florida's beaches, wildlife, and incredible fisheries. - Techniques
- Using specialized pompano rigs baited with fresh shrimp, sand fleas, and other proven natural baits, we'll target hard-fighting and highly prized species such as pompano, whiting, sheepshead, black drum, and other seasonal fish that patrol the surf zone. These fish often feed just beyond the breaking waves, providing exciting action for anglers of all skill levels. In addition to pompano fishing, we also deploy cut bait rigs designed to attract larger predators that cruise Southwest Florida's beaches. Depending on the season and conditions, anglers may have opportunities to hook into snook, redfish, jack crevalle, bluefish, sharks, and other powerful game fish that hunt along the shoreline. Throughout the trip, your guide will explain how tides, currents, beach structure, and bait movement influence fish behavior. Guests will learn proven surf fishing techniques while fishing productive troughs, sandbars, cuts, and feeding zones that often hold active fish. Beyond the fishing, guests frequently encounter dolphins, manta rays, shorebirds, and other coastal wildlife. Certain beaches may also provide opportunities to search for fossilized shark teeth between bites. Whether you're looking to catch your first pompano, learn the fundamentals of surf fishing, or experience the thrill of battling larger fish from the beach, this adventure offers a unique and unforgettable Southwest Florida fishing experience.
