    Multi species on Brazos.

    Half Day Trip – Float • 2 adults

    Nice day, first cast my son got a spotted bass off the bank, followed by a nice catfish, all on the fly. Didn’t think you could catch them on flies. Moved up river and I was able to land a carp with Colby’s guidance. Would never have been able to accomplish that on my own. Followed up with some shallow wading (water is warm) and got into some more carp and buffalo. Overall excellent day, great guide and awesome to see my son be talked onto fish.

    Very kid friendly

    Cody went to work with my 9 year old grandson and within 45 minutes he was catching fish. In an hour he was casting and striping feeling sunfish and 6 inch fingerling’s. Also, Cody had his development of casting to spots to a whole new guy level. Cody had made him a friend and a fly fisherman for life. Jax even got a lesson in rock inspection for the type of fly to use!!!!!!!

    Ben like his other guides is there to help! This was our third time with Fatties….and their goal has always been the same.HAVING A GOOD EXPERIENCE! Their patience with our rookie ways has helped us grow with casting placement, seeing fish and reading the water to now the different flys to use.

Steady now....remember to slow it down

Trout fishing is still dynamite! Bass fishing has been successful with a multitude of tactics deployed. With large temperature swings weve been kept on our toes. Some days the Large Mouth are cruising ledges and rip rap in 2-3 ft of water and eating shallow running baitfish, craw patterns and even poppers. Other days we are dredging the deepest pockets with large baitfish patterns. Each of these techniques provides our anglers the opportunity to encounter some really fun by-catch like fresh water drum and gar. Guides have been reporting multi species days and we are still experiencing a hatch around mid morning and surface feeding fish on warmer days. ALL fish.

Multi-Species Mayhem!

Its trout season in North Texas, but that hasnt stopped our native fish from feeding. We are having great success catching a variety of species on all of our trips right now. Guides have been reporting action packed days. We are experiencing a hatch around mid morning and surface feeding fish on warmer days. ALL fish. We caught a sunfish and rainbow trout running a double dry rig and then caught a slurping carp on the same dry flies. The Brazos is fishing goooooooood!
