We had a total of 6 people on the charter fishing. We caught A LOT of fish and a big variety. The really big catches were two sharks the biggest around 6 1/2 foot and the second around 6 foot. Couldn’t have been happier with the fishing experience. Very unsure about taking 3 small children along, but captain Tyler and first mate Allan were exceptional. Kids had a blast and we consistently caught fish through the whole 6 hours we were on board. We did not have a target species as I just told the captain “we just want to catch fish and keep the little ones involved” and Always Tight delivered. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip! Captain Tyler and Alan were great guides and they were also cool guys to converse with. We told them we wanted to bring Red Snappers home to eat and our mission was accomplished. We also caught a variety of other species like grouper, Triggerfish and Tuna. we started out a little slow for the first hour. once we hit the fish we were bringing them in as fast as the mate could rebait us and drop the hook once again the captain and first mate are top of the line and it shows in how they work to instruct you on the proper way to do the fishing in the Gulf of America…All five of us came home tired from the workout we had. thank you for a great trip.

Captain Tyler knows how to put you on fish. You have to listen to his and the first mate’s instructions, and be willing to learn a thing or two with a little “tough love”, but it pays dividends in the end. During our 8 hour trip, we caught mackerel, red snapper, vermillion snapper, amberjack, lion fish, grouper, little tunny, and even a 7’ / 200# shark. We were exhausted by the end of it!
