From the moment we stepped aboard, the crew’s expertise was obvious. These guys aren’t just boat operators — they’re true fishermen who know these waters inside and out. Their skill with live bait was incredible, and watching them launch kites to attract fish was something I’d never seen before. It completely changed the game and led us straight to strikes on tuna, marlin, dorado (mahi mahi), and sailfish — all in a single trip. The boat itself was comfortable and well-equipped, with a clean bathroom on board — a detail that matters more than you’d think on a full day out at sea. Everything was spotless, well-maintained, and clearly cared for. What really stood out was the crew’s friendliness. They were patient, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had the best possible experience, whether we were seasoned anglers or just along for the ride. They had all the right tools and technology to locate fish quickly, so we spent more time reeling in and less time waiting around. And then there’s Zihuatanejo itself — a stunningly beautiful bay with warm, inviting weather all day long. Fishing against that backdrop made the whole trip feel like something out of a dream.   Best family day ever!

  8 Hour – Offshore Fishing Trip on May 9, 2026

  Hands down, one of the best family fishing trips we’ve ever had! From the moment we left the marina, it was rod-bending action all day long. It was my son’s first time fishing offshore with a professional crew, and I’m proud to say he’s officially hooked for life! We landed multiple tuna, caught two beautiful sailfish, and to top it all off, my 7 years old son even got to battle and land a shark. Watching him fight those fish was something I’ll never forget. The boat was clean, comfortable, and fully rigged with top-notch gear. The captain and crew knew exactly where to find the fish, read the conditions perfectly, and worked nonstop to keep us on the bite. Their experience and passion for the sport were obvious from start to finish. If you’re looking for an unforgettable day chasing pelagics with a first-class crew, this is the trip to book. We’ll definitely be back!

  8 Hour – Offshore Fishing Trip on January 13, 2026

  What an amazing day on the water! Caught two sailfish. El Torrojo is fully loaded with top-tier gear (excellent rods, kites, a wide variety of lures, live bait well, music, and Starlink)—they have absolutely everything covered. Captain Mario is an absolute expert, incredibly nice, and helpful. We’ll definitely be booking them again on our next trip to Ixtapa!

  Fishing day onboard torrojo

  Captain Mario and his crew truly know the area and are truly great people. The fishing gear onboard torrojo is, indeed, the best in the market. The boat is great and has everything one would need for a trip with the family or a serious expedition. Highly recommended.
