Even in January, Florida offers up great weather that's perfect for casting a line or two. Species such as Spotted Seatrout and Kingfish can be found in abundance.

Join in the Founders' Day celebrations on Main Street on the first Saturday in February. The Amberjack bite starts to heat up.

This is the best time to go for your inshore "Grand Slam" of Redfish, Flounder, and Spotted Seatrout. The Florida east coast is a great spot to achieve this!

Off the water, why not check out the Melbourne Arts Festival? Admission is free, with plenty of food and music during the event. Along the Banana and Indian Rivers, the inshore bite is hot.

Now is the best chance to catch Marlin and Yellowfin Tuna offshore, so get ready to test your skills against these beasts!

Snook and Tarpon are fantastic in June, and will give you a great fight once hooked, as well as bragging rights! Head to the Banana or Indian Rivers to battle these inshore favorites.

Black Drum and even Shark species will be biting best now. Mahi Mahi and other big game favorites can be battled offshore, and the Indian and Banana Rivers are plentiful.

If you want to test your skills against the feisty Snook, this is the time to visit! Head to the Banana or Indian Rivers to come face-to-gills with this inshore Floridian favorite.

From sea to sky, join in the General Aviation Day at Melbourne International Airport. When it comes to the water, inshore, nearshore, and offshore fishing grounds are all plentiful.

Join in with Oktoberfest, which has been running since 1977. Food, drink, and a fun-filled day guaranteed! Why not try to reel in your own dinner on a fishing trip? Inshore waters are packed full of tasty favorites.

Fishing really heats up during winter. Amberjack, Bonito, Grouper, and Mackerel are all on offer, with inshore favorites such as Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, and Flounder available in the rivers.

Inshore fishing is majorly productive now, so it's the perfect time to come cruise the rivers and lagoons for anything from Redfish, to Spotted Seatrout, to tasty Flounder!

January is an inshore fisher's paradise around Titusville. Gator Seatrout and Bull Redfish stalk the crystal-clear waters under bright blue skies (when the weather cooperates). If you're looking for a trophy, now's the time.

It's red-hot rod-bending action inshore but nearshore fishing is strong, too. Amberjack, Barracuda, Striped Bass, Cobia, and many other species can be hooked into. Make sure to dress for the weather!

Sight fishing for Redfish remains strong during March. Spotted Seatrout and Snook are plentiful. Cobia, Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Bonito, and more species can all be found in coastal waters.

You can find feisty Redfish around oyster bars and under vegetation. Further out in the ocean, you can go after Barracuda, Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, and other hardy fighters.

Kingfish, Wahoo, and Yellowfin Tuna fishing is excellent in the offshore waters of Titusville during May. In the lagoons, you can look forward to good Snook. Redfish get more active as the water warms up.

You can look forward to many small Tarpon appearing in the area, followed by giant Silver Kings – the perfect time to tick that off your bucket list. Further out, you'll find awesome Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, and Kingfish action.

Red-hot weather and red-hot fishing, that's the name of the game! Offshore anglers can go after Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo, while inshore it's all about landing as many Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, and Tarpon as possible.

Torpedo-sized Tarpon show up in the Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River Lagoon this time of year. Night fishing for Snook, day fishing for Redfish, and a lot of other rod-bending action happens all over the area.

Seatrout move to the edges of the flats while Redfish chow down on plentiful Mullet. Flounder starts appearing near the entrances to inlets, so make sure to get your gig ready.

If you're looking to land a Cow Striper, now's the time. Redfish move into the deeper waters of the Indian River Lagoon and they're in a feeding frenzy – live bait fishing is very rewarding in October.

Big breeding Redfish are the perfect target to break your personal best. Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Jacks, and Bluefish are very good in coastal waters.

It might be cold but the fishing hasn't slowed down one bit! Offshore you're looking at great Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Bonito, and Amberjack action. Inshore it's all about big Redfish and Spotted Seatrout.

Come to Port Canaveral in January, and you'll understand why the Space Coast doesn't have a low season. Offshore, Sailfish, Tuna, and Mahi are biting. Windy? No problem. Hit inshore waters for some famous fish.

It's colder than usual, but it's also southeast Florida! Strong winds can make getting offshore a challenge, but if you make it out, you could catch anything from Tuna to Mahi Mahi.

The inshore action heats up as the weather transitions into spring. Target Trout, Redfish, and Snook. Nearshore, Cobia starts to arrive on its migration. Don't miss the the Cobia Madness Tournament at Sunrise Marina!

Snook fishing is on fire in the Port Canaveral area in April. Target them around the docks and mangrove islands. Take a deep sea fishing charter, and you could be catching King Mackerel, Amberjack, and Mahi Mahi.

Things start to get really exciting in May, with lots to catch on a charter or in a competition. Test your skills and try for a cash prize at the May Dolphin Tournament or the Central Florida Offshore Anglers Tournament!

It's peak season, and oh my, will you know it when you come to the docks. Look for Mahi, Amberjack, Kingfish, and Grouper. Get inspired at the Canaveral Mac Attack - this is the best time of year to take home a smoker!

It might be hot out, but that doesn't stop the fish. This is peak season for Tarpon fishing, with big Kingfish also migrating along the beaches close to Port Canaveral. Up for a challenge? Look for Sailfish and Wahoo offshore.

Expect the beaches to be packed all along the Space Coast. Head out on the water first thing in the morning and catch your fill before the tourists even wake up. You'll get the best bite and beat the heat.

As the crowds disperse, fishing in Port Canaveral gets better than ever. The inshore fish are bigger than ever, with big Bull Redfish, Trout, and Black Drum all biting. Look for Cobia as it returns southwards from its migration.

If there is such a thing as a shoulder season in southeast Florida, this is it. Expect fewer crowds on the beaches and in the charter boats. Wahoo and Sailfish are found offshore, with Bull Redfish spawning inshore.

Make the most of the lull in the crowds and catch the biggest fish of your life on light tackle - we're talking big Bull Redfish. Expect choppy conditions offshore. If it's safe, head out to catch Sailfish, Wahoo, and Mahi!

Celebrate the festive season with smoked Mackerel! December means the Kingfish run, which makes for some of the best fun you can have on the water.
