  Alex was great both on service and guiding. he picked me up and dropped me off the ferry. Very good service. Boat is simple but clean and working. Rod was lookong new. where Alex was very good was guiding, despite my average casting he didnt look frustrated (as some previous gukdes) when I missed a cast into the mangrove ... but adapted his positioning to make my cast easier to achieve. he was very good finding fishing and pointing out how to improve (casting and retrieving) once I manage to get all on board we had several bones back to back. a long but very good day.

  Alex put us on fish and was helpful throughout

  3/4 Day Trip on February 18, 2026 • 2 adults

  This was my first experience fly fishing in salt water. Alex made me the process easy throughout. He was very responsive in the lead up to the trip, including details about what we would target and what flies we would use. We did motor on the boat from the coleta up to the north end of the island, where he brought us to some grass flats near mangroves, where we were targeting juvenile tarpon. While we did not catch any there, we had a couple shots. Alex then brought us to some sand flats, where we had so many shots to cast to bonefish, easily visible from the elevated front portion of his boat. We saw bone fish cruising through in groups from 2 - 6. I missed several opportunities, but caught one on the fly and hooked up another but broke it off, due to inexperience. We also saw barracuda and a couple permit. Alex was well prepared and offered good advice for a novice fly fisherman. I could have caught more fish with a bit more experience.

  This was our second trip with Alex. The mangroves are a beautiful spot even if you’re not fishing. i caught a bonefish and Darren was over the moon with his barracuda

  Alex was friendly and personable. A pleasure to being in the boat with. Alex has an unbelievable ability to spot fish and actually see the fish take the fly. i wait to feel the take and then set the hook. Alex would set a hook when he sees the take, well before I would. would do it again nexttime in Cozumel.

  Cant beat fishing with Alejandro

  Alejandro knows Cozumel fishing. Bonefish and permit… he found them and put me in perfect position to catch them. The Bonefish cooperated, the permit not so much.
