Fishing has always been more than a hobby for Captain Cantwell — it's a passion built on time spent on the water, understanding fish behavior, and finding where they're biting. Specializing in blue catfish on Lake of the Ozarks, he uses his knowledge of seasonal fish movements, bait locations, and proven techniques to target fish in various conditions, from trophy-sized blues in deep channels to delicious keeper-sized catches. For Captain Cantwell, guiding is about more than catching fish. It's about sharing the excitement of the fight, helping guests land their first big catfish, and creating lasting memories with family and friends. As a USCG-approved captain, he prioritizes safety and an enjoyable experience for anglers of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced fisherman, his goal is simple: work hard to find fish, enjoy the adventure, and make memories worth sharing!

    GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES!

    6 Hour – Catfish (2 Person Min)

Christian and I have been in the boat together a lot...In case you didn't know Christian was a Hi level professorial athlete. ( Google Him)... He puts the same work ethic into prepping for a trip to make sure his clients catch fish. In fact if has a fault is that he over works himself prepping. I was his coach the last half his pro career so believe me I know his character. Besides the fishing he is a smart interesting guy to hang out with and converse with on or off the water.... He grew up in the Lake Ozark area. He has been all over the world and came home! You can take the Kid out of the Ozarks. BUT YOU CAN'T TAKE THE OZARKS OUT OF THE KID!

    Best fishing experience ever

4 Hour – Catfish AM (2 Person Min)

We had a great time on our catfish trip with Cantwell’s Ozark Guide Service at the Lake of the Ozarks! The trip was a blast, and the guide made sure we had a great experience out on the water. If you’re looking for a fun fishing trip and a chance to catch some catfish, I’d definitely recommend giving them a call. We appreciate the great time and look forward to getting back out on the water again!

    Absolutely a great time!

4 Hour – Catfish AM (2 Person Min)

Very knowledgeable on targeting Bluecat. I would recommend those who love Lake of the Ozarks to book a trip. Great experience solo or with others especially kids!

    Fantastic Day

    6 Hour – Catfish (2 Person Min)

Slayed the blue catfish! Christian was very knowledgeable about the lake, put us on the fish right away and a lot of fun to talk with. Highly recommended. Looking forward to doing it again next year.
