- Background
- I have been fishing my whole life! It all started in the freshwater inland rivers and dams of South Africa. All types of fishing were explored, from bottom baits to lures and fly fishing from the bank and small boats. After studying conservation, I then began fishing in the ocean and estuary systems and have now settled on the Sunshine Coast. With all the rivers in the area, South Africa's Eastern Seaboard and Port Alfred really are a fisherman's dream! I concentrate my efforts on the Kowie and Fish Rivers, targeting Kobeljou, Grunter, Garrick, and sharks by boat with live bait, dead baits, lures, and flies.
- Techniques
- My preference is for light tackle boat fishing using livebait, deadbait lures & flies especially for Grunter, Kob & Garrick but whatever it takes to get the fish biting...
