- Background
- Born and raised in the harbor family owned a boat, I fell in love with the ocean early on. Whether it was fishing, surfing, diving, sailing, tide pooling or boating, I tried everything I could get my hands on. This led me to work at local sportfishing companies and aquariums while in high school. After graduating from Dana Hills High School in 2008, I went to school for Marine Fisheries Biology and completed my degree in 2013. I fished commercially for Dungeness crab out of San Francisco for a season and that gave me great respect for the work that goes into commercial fishing and the power the ocean has. I love sharing the knowledge I've gained throughout my life in and on the water. This knowledge can hopefully help other people come to a better understanding of the ocean and the world around us.
- Techniques
- There are many different techniques we employ to put fish on the deck, however my favorite two have to be paddy hopping with live bait and throwing poppers at boiling tuna.
