With over 25 years’ experience both on deck and behind the helm, he has never stopped searching relentlessly for excellent fish. His prowess speaks for itself: he has represented the Western Province in both the Marlin Nationals and the Tuna Nationals, both as angler and skipper, and he took home the gold medal of the 2007 Marlin Nationals with a 632 lbs Black Marlin. Steve has travelled widely to pursue his love of angling and has fished in areas such as Mozambique, Great Britain, the USA, Kenya, and more. He fishes with his youngest son and crewman on Beluga, Joe Potter, an avid angler who is rapidly following in his father’s footsteps.
