In our Trip descriptions it clearly states that all our mates work for Tips. We did however answer all your questions prior to the trip departure.

This is Kendall Annan, the captain of this charter boat. We clearly stat in our fishing description that our deckhands work for tips.
15-20%. This charter was from El Salvador and fishbooker is a 3rd party site. We also have a mounted plaques on both vessels stating the gratuities and fishing cleaning services.

After the safety briefing and meeting the charter the mate cooked breakfast for your entire party (11 persons), rigged tackle and cut bait on the way out and in between spots. You guys constantly kept him busy while we were catching fish and we had a great haul roughly 225lbs of fish…on top of giving your charter an extra 40 min of fishing (11 total hours) Everyone was happy, they even fished off our dock while cleaning the fish.

Post trip, you were told the balance and tip/fish cleaning. You still acknowledged you wanted the fish cleaned. 225lbs @ .30 cents is 67.50 for entire catch which would be 6$ person.

While leaving, you handed 170$ to be exact to my first mate, which would come out to be 3.79% tip without the fish cleaning that took over an hour and half. In the United States, many individuals in this service industry receive gratuities as part of their income which they rely on as part of their livelihood.

We’ve been in business for over 60 years and we are the last charter boat to run from our private residence/marina. We have one lane drive way that goes down to the water where you guys parked and can unload closer to our boats also we have a second multi passenger boat running so we try our best to keep other customers from getting blocked in.

Prior to leaving I kindly asked if we can somehow get his tip close to 10%. 500$ even was collected, I shook hands with everyone and you guys were packed with ice for the road and were on your way.
