My family had a wonderful time on the Silky with Captin Dave and firstmate Kayin.
My 17 y/o got a hookup 10 minutes out of the harbor, with a 115 lbs. Marlon. He realed it in and we got some pictures. One of the reasons I chose Silky was they claimed to do tag and release on Marlons, good to their word we let the little guy go! 20 minutes later I hooked a 40 lbs. Short billed spearfish “Chucker”. Kayin dispatched and put him on Ice promptly. Once we were back at the boat slip Kayin filleted the fish for us. We kept half and gifted Kayin and Captin Dave with the rest. We grilled half and made ceviche with the rest. Kayin is a kind, hardworking young man with a happy demeanor who loves his job and it shows. Captin Dave listened to my Dad and his stories for 4 hours,  bless his heart. Thank you Silky for the memories and the grub.

We took daughter and grands on the Silky. The captain and first mate were personable, friendly, helpful and shared their knowledge.  My daughter caught a billfish which they cleaned and filleted for us.  The boat was very clean and comfortable.  The parlor was well-appointed and cool though we chose to spend our time up on the bridge. It was a great time and we would do it again.

Had a fantastic day with the Silky crew. Dave the captain called me the day before and answered all of my questions and gave detailed instructions. Day of, we arrived at 6:15, jumped on the boat and away we went! Our lines were in the water 100% of the time! Cam the first mate, worked SO HARD the whole time giving instruction, managing lines, helping us reel in fish, providing information, and so much more! Dave the captain trolled the entire time, using his knowledge and resources to take us to the fish, and worked so hard to find us as many fish as we could get! Both were so personable and friendly! They provided bottled water, had a nice air conditioner cabin and two bathrooms, a refrigerator for food/snacks we brought, and were very considerate. All in all, we caught FIVE marlins, one Ono (wahoo) and two fish that got off the hook!! One of the best fishing days ever!! Our boat was the talk of the harbor!! Fantastic service, amazing crew, what a great day! Will be one of the highlights of our trip! I cant recommend them enough!!! Thanks so much guys!!

Booked this for my family party of 6. Hooked into a large marlin the first hour and then it was no action for the next 4 hours. Captain and deckhand did everything they could to get us into some fish and in the end it paid off. We hooked and landed 2 blue marlin (100lbs, 275 lbs) which were released and a 35lb blue striped marlin which we landed and kept.

We were total newbies to this kind of fishing. Definitely a bit more oriented towards catch and release for the blue marlins. Apparently they aren’t the best for eating anyways.  Captain Dave and deckhand was a great coach when battling these fish and was one of the most intense experiences we’ve had. AWESOME Trip. Would definitely book again!

It was a beautiful day for fishing! Landed 7, lost 2, 2 bites that never took, and so many fun memories made! Michael and Dave were awesome to hang with and were helpful with all questions we had! We recommend them to anyone no matter a noob, or experienced fisherman! We will definitely be returning to silky fishing for future trips!
