What an AMAZING 1/2 day with Captain David and his hand Camden!!!! I had expected to possibly go out and not catch anything.  As my husband Kyle tells me that’s why they call it fishing and not catching BUT today we were catching!!!!! We caught 8 mahi mahi and a tuna on this 1/2 day trip.  We rode for a while looking, then Captain David saw something that was a stick then he explained that I could possibly have an eco system under it and sure enough when we got up on it, it was a huge tree with TONS of fish!! They were BEAUTIFUL and were fighters!! This fishing trip was a gift for our boys from Christmas that they used during our Spring Break trip and it was such a beautiful , wonderful day of catching!!! We HIGHLY recommend Silky Sportfishing!!!

Dan and Josh made our half day charter one of the better ones I’ve been on. I certainly recommend Silky. We caught a mahi within the first hour and were pursuing tuna the next, and had a spearfish following toward the end but couldn’t get it hooked.  Nearby on the radio they landed a striped marlin on another local boat. Since we landed the mahi we kept the fillets and had a Hawaiian fish feast with my brother’s and my family.  Boat was handled well in some gnarly rolling seas (safe to go out but wives and kids stayed back type of conditions for comfort).

Our setup was to run six lines using outriggers.  Josh handled all the tackle and set up and take down.  Air conditioning and comfortable interior were added bonuses. I’d certainly consider a 3/4 day booking when coming back to the Big Island.

VERY nice boat 42 feet long great fishing gear. Captain Dave provided us blnon alcohol drinks and fresh pineapple allowed us to bring alcohol if we wanted. Caught are first within a hour getting on board. We used multiple fishing poles and bateboy was excellent keep all poles in water for the day. WE CAUGHT 2 giant wahoo both over 48 inches weigh over 35 lb each.i would definitely recommend these two wa&;

We took the whole family out while on vacation. Despite a couple of sea sick members of the family everyone had an amazing time due to the energetic and attentive crew. William was there whenever anyone needed anything from a bottle of water/beer to help around the boat. We hooked up to a nice sized blue marlin and left with nothing but smiles! Can’t wait for our next trip out on Silky!

Had an amazing time on the water with Dave and Cam. They had us hooked up on a huge Blue Marlin not even 10 minutes out of the harbor! Very professional duo and the boat was very comfortable. We’ll definitely look to fish with them again the next time we visit Kona ?.
