We went deep sea trolling to try to catch sailfish, wahoo, marlin, etc.  Unfortunately, we did not get any of those, and according to the other boats out that day, they didn’t either (just a few bonito).  So we switched gears and went bottom fishing and caught some 4’ long barracuda which are quite tasty and good fighters.  But the highlight of the trip was on the way in when we saw some birds circling a school of fish.  As it turns out, it was a school of mullet also being chased by some very large jack crevalle.  The captain pulled the boat up to the swarm and cast into the feeding frenzy - and we caught a 25 pound Jack Crevalle almost instantly.  A very cool end to the day.

Overall great experience, from the start, very communicative and accommodating getting things scheduled. Upon arrival everything was ready to go and the time from meeting to on the boat heading to fishing location was really quick which is always appreciated.  Once out fishing we were catching fish withing 30 minutes and kept up a great variety of different fish and the captain and crew did a wonderful job all day.  They kept us moving to new locations when things got quiet in a spot and gave us an opportunity to catch a different things.  I would highly recommend using them for your trip.

Our trip was great!  It was just my girlfriend and I.  We fished almost the entire time, meaning we constantly were trolling with lures in the water or fishing on the bottom when not trolling. We had about 20 foot swells too.  It was crazy at times!  We were given two first mates, which we hadn’t budgeted for, but because they both worked so hard, we tipped both of them very well considering we had two.(Ethan and Juan)  It upset us though when we personally tipped both first mates for their hard work and they had to turn right around and give the cash to the Captain who put it in his pocket.  I thought that was BS.  I didn’t tip the Captain.  HE was great, but his money comes from somewhere else.  The first mates work on tips! 

We ended up catching a 60” wahoo, a red snapper , and several barracuda.  That was awesome, I really wanted a wahoo!  I was propositioned by a taxidermy company to purchase a replica of my wahoo as soon as we got to the dock.  Had they not tried to trick me and hard-sell me, I probably would have purchased from them, but that wasn’t the case.  I didn’t appreciate their sales tactics.  It was very pushy.  I’m also finding out, they were a little expensive compared to other taxidermists I have priced since then.

Out of all the fish, I asked for one small filet of the wahoo and gave the rest of it and the other fish to the first mates and captain on the boat.  I hope the first mates were able to take some home and weren’t swindled by the Captain like they were their tips. 

Overall it was a really good trip.  We did the 6 hour! I suggest checking in a couple days ahead of time and maybe working out a plan if the seas are going to be bad.  I’m really surprised we didn’t get sea sick.  There’s no way a charter in Texas would have gone out in those sized waves.

Jorge and his crew (Pedro and Alex) worked harder for us than any other boat we’ve been on and we fish a lot. They were great to spend the day with! They put us on fish and it was a special day.  So much fun!  They had food and beverages and made sure we were taken care of all day (it was a big wave day).  I can’t recommend these guys enough and when we come back to Cancun (which we will) it will be just to fish with them again.  Thanks guys!

This team was amazing. Very responsive with planning emails and questions!!  Connected before the charter date to make sure we were on track. I asked for grouper and snapper fishing and then afterwards some trolling if time was left. They put me on a 110 pound black grouper, a 36 inch yellow mouth Grouper and a 92 inch Sailfish!! It was insane.  It was the trip of a lifetime. I’m having the sailfish mounted. I never expected that.  The captain and crew were incredible.  I even had my 6 year old daughter on this trip and they treated her well too she caught bait.  I still can’t believe the results!!  I’m smiling ear to ear
