This trip had a couple of things going against it: high temperatures and high tide. When we headed out we were about an hour or two away from peak tide conditions, and the waters were moving fairly quickly. Also, the temperature was in the mid 70s when we got in the boat. Hey, it’s Georgia in the summertime…that’s just how it is. All that notwithstanding, Captain Tony was GREAT! He did everything possible to put us on the fish. I missed a hook set at the first spot, so that one was on me. Even with conditions battling us and the fish not being hungry, my daughter and I both caught fish and had a good time doing so. We also saw unexpected wildlife (hogs on a fishing trip? Didn’t see that coming) and learned a lot about inshore fishing today. Thank you Tony! Can’t wait to get some payback on those reds next time!

Unfortunately, no fish.  However, I’ll not fault Tony for that.  We picked a bad day - right after a full moon.  We tried everything!  Bigger water, remote creeks, live shrimp, bottom fishing, dead shrimp unpeeled, with corks, dead shrimp unpeeled. 

One small ray and a few nibbles.  Windy day.  Tony burned a helluva lot of gas and energy trying to make something happen.  In the end, it was a beautiful day to be out!  Saw great parts of Ossobaw and St Catherine’s. Kids got to improve casting skills and demonstrate impeccable patience!  Would hire Tony again in a heartbeat!  You should too!

We reserved a full day of fishing with Captain Tony.  This was our first time fishing the area and also first fishing experience for local saltwater species.  Although weather, tide, and time of year made for a tough bite Captain Tony did not disappoint with his extensive knowledge and experience of the area and managed to put us on fish and we ended up with a good variety to take home to the dinner table.  It doesn’t get much better than that!  Captain Tony was more than kind and patient and was more than happy to answer any and all questions we asked.  One of the easiest guys to talk to, we shared laughs and stories like we were old time friends.  His equipment is top notch and he takes pride in what he does.  We will be returning hopefully when the bite is at its peak in hopes of landing a 10+ pounder redfish and we hope to have Captain Tony leading us to them!

It was a great trip went to several locations captain was excellent at explaining things and very courteous it was wonderful we really enjoyed it gonna go again soon.

Admittedly, we had a tough day on the water. Just about everything was working against us (extreme 8 ft. spring tide, fresh water dump the night before), but Tony did everything he could to put us on fish.

He was gracious and helpful with my wife and daughter and we didn’t just sit and soak bait when it wasn’t working. Tony ran through a number of hits spots and worked hard to put us on fish. The boat was up to date and in fantastic condition. Just as importantly, Tony is a great guy and a blast to fish with.

If I’m in the area again, I won’t hesitate to book him.
