Had a great day fishing for trout on the Clinch River with my three boys.  Captain Gavin was very accommodating.  He did a great job keeping us all fishing helping to change out lures and quickly get us unsnagged.  Boat was very clean and easy to for all of us to fish without feeling like we were on top of each other.  Captain Gavin was very personable with my boys talking about all things hunting and fishing.

My wife & I had an incredible fishing charter with Captain Derek. He was prompt with communication prior to the trip and was ready to hit the water right on time. He gave us tips for catching trout throughout the trip, and helped us out as needed. We had a successful trip, with both my wife & I catching multiple fish each. My wife even reeled in a 22 inch rainbow trout, a catch of a lifetime. I highly recommend Derek for a fishing charter, and for all skill levels and experience.

We had a great trip even though we only caught moss and sticks, but you can’t control the weather or the fish. We just enjoyed being outside on the river doing what we love. We couldn’t have chosen a better charter. Captain Derek was super friendly, personable and knowledgeable about fishing and history of the area. We did get to see a bald eagle perched in its nest! Great conversation and views! We’re coming back in the spring time!

We had a very enjoyable morning fishing the French Broad River.  Derek was very helpful and willing to teach.  He had our group trying a variety of lures. My son-in-law had never fished - he caught 2 smallmouth bass.  My 12-yr old grandson had never used an open spinning reel and Derek willingly helped him; he caught a 19-inch Drum.  My son had never used topwater bass lures before and with one he had a large bass on the line until it jumped 3 times and shook the lure loose.  I caught my... The trip was great, we lucked out with the weather fully cooperating as the sun stayed behind the clouds nearly the whole trip. Derek was fantastic at finding good spots as everyone caught at least a couple of fish each, so we were all very happy at the end of the day. Got some great pictures and had a wonderful time.
