  Outstanding Fishing Experience with Captain Fishing Charters – Hopkins, Belize

  Half Day River & Lagoons Fishing on December 17, 2025 • 2 adults

  I had an incredible half-day river and lagoon charter with Captain Fishing Charters out of Hopkins, Belize, and it exceeded every expectation. Fishing light spinning tackle, we enjoyed nonstop action with numerous snook, jacks, and tarpon hookups, capped off with an exciting barracuda as well. The variety of species and the productivity of the water made for a truly memorable outing. What set this trip apart even more was the hospitality. The infectious smile and genuine joy of the mate—and Captain’s Jamie's wife—Rose made the day feel special from start to finish. Their deep local knowledge of the rivers and lagoons, and how to fish them effectively, was impressive, but it was only dwarfed by how warm, welcoming, and engaging they were as hosts. If you’re looking for an authentic Belizean fishing experience with excellent action, expert local insight, and truly wonderful people, Captain Fishing Charters is an easy and enthusiastic recommendation. I will be back!

  Jaime and Rosa were absolutely amazing today. This was a last minute trip booking while in Belize with family. I come from a long history of fishing but a few of my family members that fished with us have very little experience. He did not care about the tangles or knots even the accidental line in the prop. Not one time did he get upset. Not only did we land fish my son also landed a cuda which made my day! His wife rosa was so great with my young son which I appreciated that more than she knows. I am already planning on returning for a trip just for fly fishing on the flats and without hesitation i will be contacting Jaime!

  Great Fishing Experience

  Full Day Inner Reef Fishing & Troll on October 1, 2025 • 4 adults

  We fished 2 days with Jaime and Rosa. We caught fish both days with a diversity of methods. The first day, we trolled the inner reef and dropped some bait lines. I cant even count how many fish we caught. There were 4 people in our group and everyone caught multiple fish. The second day, Jaime rigged up a fly rod and took us to the flats where we waded for Permit and Boone Fish. Once again, he delivered and we caught some some Boone Fish. After fly fishing, we went to deeper water and did more trolling. We caught a variety of larger fish including snapper, barracuda, jack, and yellowtail. Overall, it was a great experience!

  highlight if our trip to Belize

  Full Day Inner Reef Fishing Snorkel on April 2, 2026 • 5 adults

  the weather was bad the morning of our trip. Captain Jaime worked eith us to do it later in the day since we weren’t able to reschedule. Everbody caught fish and had a great time. Jaime and his wife cleaned the fish we brought home. We had dinner for our party of 8 people. it was a great day and a successful trip. Thanks for the memories.

  Fun trip for the whole family

  Outer reef trolling & reef fishing on May 1, 2026 • 5 adults • 2 children

  We had an absolute blast fishing with Captain Jaime and Miss Rose. I wasn't sure how well our boys (6 & 9) would do, but Capt Jaime made sure he kept them engaged and catching fish the whole time and they had the time of their lives. Thank you both so much!
