Amazing experience! Was able to click with the captain almost immediately upon meeting, and he was extremely patient in guiding me and my father on basic fishing techniques. He even shared some more advanced techniques with me on cleaning fish to keep them fresh and tasty for longer. Absolutely amazing time, and I highly recommend fishing trips with him. I booked a dull day trip for fishing along the Singapore coast. The boat itself has seen better times, but is more than adequate for the intended purpose. We have fished a number of spots using bottom fishing with heavy weights 5 oz. due to the current. IMHO the rods were a bit too light (cw 6-12 grams) for this purpose, making hook setting difficult. Came in from the US, brought a colleague and partner along. We caught a good number of small to medium reef fish and those who came along had a great time.

The morning started slow with few bites at the first few spots, only picking up when we went over by Sentosa Cove. We hired the tackle - ok condition but in desperate need of reel oil - very stiff. Weather was nice and seas were pretty calm, even for my partner who gets seasick.
