I was raised around my father's marina and fish camp on Black Creek, which is located between Santa Rosa Beach and Freeport, FL. Early on, I was excited to see what folks brought in. Then I started fishing on his dock hoping to catch fish as big as the ones brought in. After some success, I began to understand that this was something I could do on my own and I was hooked! Later, as a young boy, I was allowed to take the boat out on my own. Often times, I was invited to go along with some of the best fishermen and learn from them. During my downtime, I would rent VCR tapes and watch the pro's how-to videos. Though times have changed, especially with technological advancements, I still find myself watching them from time to time. One thing remains constant: the more I watch and learn, the more driven I am to locate and catch more fish, especially the big ones! The best part of it all, I cast my burdens and cares away before the end of each day!

We booked a 2-hour trip for our two boys, and it couldn’t have been a better way to celebrate our youngest son’s 10th birthday. Our boys are complete beginners, but Captain Trey was incredibly patient and took the time to explain everything in a way they could easily understand. He made them feel comfortable, kept them engaged, and made sure they were having fun from start to finish. His friendly personality and positive attitude made the entire experience even better. If you’re looking for a captain who’s knowledgeable, great with kids, and genuinely enjoys what he does, Captain Trey is the one to book. We would absolutely fish with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fun, family-friendly charter!

My 6yr old caught a fish and we had several bites. Just a tough day on the water but unfortunately the capt cant control the fish bite. Nice short little trip on the water.

Tip my hat to my relief Captain, James Love, for filling in earlier today. I ran a charity fund raising charter first thing this morning and he ran a charter mid morning. He fished hard and finally found them while limiting out on red drum. He excitedly relayed the location to me and said he left them biting. Nearly an hour later, i ran my afternoon charter with Joseph and his crew. First stop, right where he said.?. My crew limited out within the first 90 minutes! We kept the handles turning and drags burning as we culled out the smaller ones. All in all, it was a solid day for everyone!

It had been tough finding the fish for over a week due to weather and continued influx of fresh water. This day was no exception. But, everybody remained optimistic and we found the fish. We almost limited out on red fish, but a couple missed bites and broke lines kept us from doing so. All in all, it was a big time. And they were grateful just to be together sharing the experience. Blessed!

Covered a good bit of water this afternoon hoping to find slot sized fish or bigger. Caught fish at every location (reds, speckled trout, sand perch). Number of catches was pleasing and spirits were great! A.J., the youngest, had a 20” plus speckled trout near the boat but hook pulled as I was going for the net! Though it didn’t work this time, there’s a fire for their outing!

Her biggest fish!

Got on a school trout and reds feeding on bait. Bite was hot! I made a cast with a popping cork and got hammered before i could get the back in her hands. Fish was swimming fast towards the boat. Had to quickly take up the slack and ensure hook set was proper. Afterwards, i handed Diana her rod back and she replied in a nice 13# redfish. Her husband thanked me and said that was her biggest fish ever! Awesome!!

Took my wife out. With water conditions like they were, i figured we’d tangle with some redfish as we fished a cove with some bait fish tucked away. To my surprise, she caught a limit of speckled trout!
